The only thing I could suggest is to get a pair of baby mitts and have her wear them.  Really, I've never heard of a baby starving due to her thumb-sucking-- if she's hungry, she'll eat!  However, pacifiers and other "dummies" can sometimes interfere with breastfeeding because they cause nipple confusion.  I'd stay away from those.  I have a 3-year-old who has sucked her thumb from birth and she's still using her thumb for comfort when she's sleepy.  The only thing that concerns me because of this is that her gums are starting to mold around her thumb and may need correction later.  If your baby continues to suck her thumb, this might also become an issue for you.  Hopefully she'll find another method of comfort before that happens.  Best of luck!

Seriously, there is nothing wrong with thumb sucking, it is a comfort thing, why would you want to take away her comfort???? both my babies have done it and they have both turned out normal... i just don't understand the seriousness about this?? just go with the flow ok, take a chill pill. dont stress too much over something so minor, just be thankfull your little one is perfect!! enjoy your baby -

hi, there I can help you. If your used to Auryvedic i can tell you. Please apply all the bitter things to your kids fingers so that you baby will irriated by that and she will stop. EG: bitter gourd, Neem leaves (Smash) Etc . There is no side effect to your kid also. As your in India i think you know about it , It is very good for health.
