    Tooth pain while BF

I've noticed since giving birth and exclusively BF my son, I've had a lot of tooth pain.  They just feel achy.  Is this normal while BF?  My husband says it's because I'm not getting enough calcium.  Plus, I've been really cold lately which he says is another sign of not getting enough calcium.

    Anyone know about this?

     I had the same thing!!

It is a calcium defiecency.  You can take a supplement.  I just took one that I bought at the grocery store.  :)

OMG! I'm having the SAME EXACT thing going on! I kept wondering what was wrong with me. The pain isn't always in the same area either. I was starting to think my teeth were rotten or something. LOL. Breastfeeding my second DS has been full of all sorts of pains, etc. that I never had while BF my first DS.

Thanks for the replies!  I think it's just a calcium thing, too.  I started trying to up my calcium intake through milk and foods, and the pain has gone away.  Yay!  Plus, I'm still taking my prenatals.

I only had it with my second as well.  I think my stores were depleated.  The calcium supp took away the pain for me.  Good luck!

I definitely know this is what was wrong with me too. I had cut out most of the dairy I consume because I thought DS had colic. So I didn't eat much dairy for a few weeks. I still take a prenatal, but that doesn't have enough calcium in it. I started adding more dairy back into my diet about a week ago - so today I haven't had any tooth pain. Yay!
