What I usually do is just mash it up, but my DH likes to put it in the blender. When I give DS banana I mix it with avocado because avocado increases the bioavailability of nutrients found in fruits and veggies. Since slightly green banana has a high iron content, I want to maximize what DS can absorb from it. I add some pumped breastmilk if it ends up a little thick.
