    Re: who's eating what?

Dennis is 5 months and 1 week old. He's had oatmeal three times and seemed to love it the first time, but lost interest the second time. I started solids last week on his birthday and feed him once a day, in the evening. He loves applesauce and we just tried sweet potatoes and he loves that too. I also let him lick bananas if I'm eating them. He hates rice cereal- has rejected it twice, even when mixed with bm and bananas. I'll try mixing it with applesauce next. I'm going slowly on this until he turns 6 mths- some days he doesn't even get any solids. He nurses as much as ever.

Lynlee is 6 months old and eating Stage 1 and 2 baby foods, all kinds. All fruits (except for bananas.. she hates them!), all veggies, and most of the meats. She has two teeth now so we have started giving her bites of our food. Like plain rice and mashed potatoes. Our doctor said as long as she is getting formula for the majority of her feedings, experimenting with baby foods won't hurt. :)
