I was having a really hard time reading certain things, so I thought I should go get the eyes checked. She said I needed the "B" word, and though I was not happy, if I would be able to read small print so be it............................ (What is the "B" word? You ask...Bi-Focals)
I picked up my new glasses today, and I hate them....They give me a major headache, it takes a minute to focus, and I keep moving my head and not just my eyes, which basically makes it worse, and steps....LORD HAVE MERCY.....looking though the lower half magnifys the step which makes them appear closer, and guess what, you miss the step.
Everyone says that it will get better in a week to a month!!!! In this case, the sooner the better.
UPDATE!
Well, after trying to adjust to the glasses over the weekend, I gave up. I went back in and spoke to a very helpful woman, who told me that the frames were too small for my face, and the lenses were not really a good size in length for the bi-focals. So I await the new pair now. Normally I wouldn't complain as much, but this time I had to shell out the $410 for them.
