This morning I woke up around 5:30 to use the bathroom. I came back to
bed and I realized Eden had not woken up at all to eat since we had
gone to bed (around 11pm). So I check on her to make sure she is still
alive. I watch her chest for breathing movement, and it wasn't moving
at all! I put my finger under her nose to see if I could feel air
coming out and NOTHING! At this time my heart started sinking and I was
getting a little worried. So I grabbed her hand and shook to make her
startle and she didn't budge. At that point I was almost in tears and
panicking so I stuck my finger under her chin and jiggled it and
FINALLY she startled and sucked in a big breath of air!! I was freaking
out so bad. After that I kept watching her and she would breath for a
bit then stop breathing for a while. I couldn't go back to sleep after
that. Now I'm worried she might have sleep apnea. She has just done this again while sleeping in her swing. I have put a call in to the on-call pediatrician and am waiting for him to call me back.
