    Moving to the "big" tub.

I don't remember when I switch my boys from the baby tub to the regular, but Kiersten is starting to ooze out of the baby one. It's so funny I put what I think is enough water in so she will be covered, but I alway guess wrong and the tub overflows (I put the baby one in the big one).  I just feel that she's not stable enough to really sit in the big tub. Any suggestions for what I could do? Oh, bath rings aren't really an option, she's chubby and I don't think she would fit well, maybe you recall the pic of her in a bumbo.

What about one of those bath seats with the arm rest for mom/dad? I think it has bigger leg holes. I still put Abby in the baby tub and then put the baby tub in the big tub. She is also getting a bit big for it, but she cannot sit without support yet. I will probably be looking for other options soon too! I usually give her and my 2 year old a bath together so being able to lay her in the baby tub is the easiest way! Let me know if you come up with a solution before I do!

Kelsey wasn't outgrowing the baby tub but she wasn't liking laying back anymore, and she repeatedly was trying to sit up or else sliding herself down in the tub. The infant tub I have has a "seat" on the other end, so I started putting her in that. She couldn't sit up by herself very well when I started but it offers enough support to keep her up with me spotting her. The problem I'm having with this arrangement is washing her hair. I can't seem to figure out how to rinse it without it getting in her face and she gets so mad!

When we started my son in the big bath we used one of those bath hammock things.  It's not sitting up but he loved it.

I was thinking about this the other day too.  My little guy isn't too big and he enjoys lounging in the baby tub so we'll be using it for a while yet.  But I do remember with my older boys having to use a full size tub while we were on vacation - at about this age.

It sounds to me like maybe Kiersten is getting to shower age.  Mommy can shower with her - and just have Daddy handy to grab slippery baby and let you finish your shower time (or vice versa).
