After my son was born my husband and I agreed to have one more pregnancy because our son is our second child, so one more would be our third, but now he's like saying that he could possibly go for more pregnancies, and i really just want one more, I only planned to have three children, but now he's saying he wont go get cut after our third child, and he doesn't want me to go get my tubes tied what do i do , what do i say to him to convince him to just have one more child and not 5. please help!

I would wait until you have your 3rd before even discussing more. Many things can change over the next couple of years before you are pregnant with the 3rd and the 3rd baby is home and your life changes even more than it did when you had just 2. Some of the items you may want to discuss are the financial impacts from 3 to 4 or 5, providing care for more than 3 children, and how you feel about being pregnant for a 4th time (god bless ya!!! :) Although, now it may seem that he wants to have 4 or 5 children its amazing how time changes ones thinking. This is shown just by the simple fact that he has already changed his mind saying that he wants more. For now, I think the conversation should be tabled for another time. Concentrate on the wonderful things you are doing with your 2 and the excitement of planning and trying for number 3. Once number 3 has arrived and you two are working through the change of adding another child to your family you can begin discussions of this again. I understand your feelings as I am on the opposit side I currently have 2 children and would love a 3rd but my husband wants to stop at 2. Right now with a 3 year old and a 5 month old we have tabled the conversation to revisit when our daughter is a year or so. I concentrate and providng both of my children with the best care possible that I can give right now and will wait and see what happens. Good luck!

Maybe after the 3rd baby you could consider getting the IUD birth control.  That way you have a non-hormonal long term birth control method ( some implants can stay in for up to5 years).  This way you and your husband have time to truly see if additional children is something you both want to agree to but don't have to worry about conceiving OR the surgical options before either of you are ready. The beauty of it is if you both decide that baby number 4 is something you both want to have you can take the implant out at anytime before the 5 years.
