I'm new here and need help!!!

Hi everyone, I am actually not pg yet but am ttc while bf my 6 month old dd.  Over the past 3 months I have started spotting every 27 days and this month I will try an ovpk to see if I'm ovulating.  I would love to hear how some of you were able to get pg while bfing!!!  Also, how do you put all of the cute pictures and things on your posts?  I tried going to one of the links and making a ticker but then wasn't sure how to put it into my post.
    Thanks!

I figured out how to add pictures, now how do I save them so they will show up with all my posts?  Also, how do I add a picture next to my name?

I started having periods regularly at 8 wks postpartum and they were 28 days or so apart. At 4 mos postpartum  we concieved. My periods were regular and normal, not spotting or anything and when I got pregnant this time I started with my usual brown blood stuff for 2 days and then I talked to my sis in law and said "yeah last month we thought I was opreg b/c my period was late... but it came and this month its starting so I am definatley not..." well... I was!!!! (Well I am! lol) so thats pretty much it. I kept just that deal up and then I took a home preg test when I was 2 days late... BUT actually I was only days after the conception... like 6 or so days (yeah no clue how it picked it up!)... but we did 3 ultrasounds, the first 2 showed nothing and the 3rd showed the baby finally. I tested super early! My period would not have come for another week from the day I tested... but according to my calendar I was 2 days late... super tired and moody and a tad queesy (that has gone away)...

    Sooo thats our deal!

    (Good luck!)

to put a photo by your name (called an Avatar), you gointo your profile (where you added your tickers) and look for the section markes Avatar, then browse, chose the photo and upload... you need to use the update button in that section, and you do not need a code for this, the photo on your computer if fine.

I bf a ton...I was on the mini pill up until December and then I just found out we are preggo again about 2 weeks ago.  I am about 6 weeks along and my first is 14 months old.  I am a sahm so I nursed A LOT.  My sister worked full time and bf and she started getting her period a lot sooner than me.  I only had one period in January!

Re: I'm new here and need help!!!

Thanks everyone for sharing your story! I have now, as you can see, figured everything out!  I am currently using OVPK to see if I'm ovulating or not.  I really hope that I am.  My dd only nurses 4 times a day and sleeps through the night.  The only problem is I had to take clomid to get pg with her so I'm not sure if I don't ovulate what the cause will be.  I really want to get pg soon but do not want to give up bfing to take clomid again.  I talk to my pediatrician and she said that around 9 months the breast milk is not the main source of nutrients anymore and that if I wanted to stop bfing to get pg that would be the time to do it.  I would still love any advice!
    Thanks

I got my period 3 month postpartum, and was like a clock every month after that. I got pg when she was...7 months old? I nurse a lot, too, so that never worked for me!

I've never managed to get pregnant until 3 months after my sons turned one, but then again I never got a period until they were about 13 months old. Austin and Connor nursed past their 2nd birth days  (I was 4 months with the twins when Connor weaned himself) Gavin weaned at 1.

    Re: How to wean

I started weaning my daughter at 9mths old as well. It was quite easy, since she was already drinking breast milk from a bottle. But if your little one isn't, that is where I would start. When she starts nursing from you let her finish with the bottle, meaning: nurse her from one side then give her her bottle, do not nurse her from the other side. This will also allow your breasts to gradually slow down on milk production. This could take a month or more, so be patiant! And if you want to wean her from beast milk all together try and get some breast milk and mix it with formula, start with 75/25 for a week or two, then go to 50/50 for a week then 25/75 for a week and then 100% formula, but she is close to 1 so you could try putting some whole milk in instead of formula when she's 11 mths!
