Re: WANTED: Updates on moms and babes; post your's!
Victor is just THRIVING! He's such a good baby, only cries when something is upsetting him like the diaper thing or hunger, you know the usual. He's an excellent sleeper and doesn't even wake daddy up! He doesn't usually cry until about 5am when he makes a big poopy, he gets his diap changed 2x in the middle of the night, and eats about 3 times, so I'm getting great sleep especially since I just pop out the "dairy pillows" and just give it to him since he's co-sleeping with us. I caved, I couldn't sleep at all with him in the bassinet, every time he moved or cooed or did anything I was jumping up to check on him, but I am very aware of him in bed with us.
Dave and I are madly in love with him. Dave will come home from work and I can't get him to do squat cause he just wants to hang out with his little "mini-me." Victor is over 10 lbs now since before 2 weeks, he is 2 weeks today, he's a marvelous breastfeeder and I'm a great producer of milk to say the least!
My poor little guy was circumcised on Friday. To make a long story short, I really doubt I will be able to go through that again, or put another baby through this again. I hope my next child is a girl!!! Dave said we'll cross that bridge when we get there, BUT Victor is still fussing horribly at diaper changes three days later; I cried for hours and got nasty at my husband for us doing this to him. He keeps telling me he doesn't remember his, and neither will Victor, but I will.
I'm down now 25 lbs (woo hoo!) but I'd like to lose 15 more to get back to wedding-day-weight; which reminds me our one year anniversary is on Thursday (yay!) and what a year its been!!
anyway I see this is rather lengthy so here's a pic of Vic, and I'm off!!!

Looking forward to reading everyone's updates and seeing lots of little baby pics!!!

Re: WANTED: Updates on moms and babes; post your's!
Everything is good on this end. Ava's little touch of jaundice left two days after we were released from the hospital. She is great. She was almost 10 lbs at birth and I am guessing that now at 3 weeks old she is about 11 1/2. She is a chunk. The only time she cries is when she is hungry or getting changed. Big Brother Isaiah is doing great. He has adjusted well and has decided to be mommys big helper even though he thinks he can do more than his two year old self can handle like thinking that he can carry her (he doesn't, we watch very closely). She still has as much hair as the day she was born. People say that babies will shed a lot of their hair but she doesn't seem to be shedding any. She is a wonderful baby. I do however believe that DH is already getting tired of her being dressed in pink! I try to mix it up a bit with some yellows and purples and blue but the amount of pink that everyone has given her greatly outweighs all the other colors. Oh, well. He is in the process of locating some pink camo though so she is more than likely going to be somewhat of a tomboy. Mom is doing great. I am not looking forward to going back to work in 3 weeks and am distraught at the thought that half of my maternity leave is already over but it has been good. I healed up really quickly from the episiotomy this time so I am really grateful for that. If it wasn't for house remodeling and it taking so long (it aggravates me so) I would be in seventh heaven. It is okay though. The prettiest house in the world couldn't compare to the two beautiful babies that I have had the privilege of carrying and now get to spend my days playing with and loving. Will post pics later. DS is wanting something to drink so I have to sign off for now. Good luck and blessings to all you moms out there. You are in my thoughts and prayers! Give some extra love to the all those beautiful little ones for me.

Re: WANTED: Updates on moms and babes; post your's!
It's been a while since i've posted anything, i think, i don't know i can't remember. My days are running together. Anyhoo, Kody is doing wonderful. At his two week check up he had gained almost a pound in over a week. The pediatrician was happy with that. He grew two inches. YEAH Go Kody. He is pretty consistant on the feeding schedule... every two hours, anything more he fusses so bad. He feeds at 10:30pm then at 1am and again at 4am. I ended up having to supplement the 4am feed because i'm suffering from post partum depression and things are getting very stressful for me. I'm supposed to go see a counselor on the 11th. I can't stop crying. The doctors agreed it would be best for me to skip even trying to pump for the 4am feed and just try to get some rest before i have to feed him again at 6. My mom is being very pushy and trying to get me to come out to Indiana and stay for a while so they can see Kody. Dale's sister is supposed to be out here sometime in february and my friend morganne is trying to come out too. I just feel overwhelmed with everything that happened between dale and my mom.. things are still rough with that and then my mom just pushing me to come out and trying to get to know kody and understand his schedule. Sometimes I feel like a single mom because dale gets away with 7 hours of sleep at night and does only one feed. He's been trying to help me out, he's been cleaning the apartment. Ugh i need to stop.

Re: WANTED: Updates on moms and babes; post your's!
Things have been going well this way. Weston is six weeks today, phew where has the time went!?! He is a very content baby, loves to sleep and eat, he believes that he needs to be eating every minutes he awake. He makes all kinds of moaning and groaning noises, which crack me up! HE is above average for height and weight, so doing very well. Jocelyn is adjusting very well and loves to love on him. I have to give her firm reminders sometimes as she is smothering him trying to give kisses. This morning I found her changing is diaper. AS she calls me mama hurry he's pooping!(he wasn't but boy that would have been a nightmare! I am going back to my regular work schedule this week. Today was the first day I left him with a babysitter., which went great. Shawn loves his little man, he enjoys napping with the two munchkins! We are cosleeping also, and it tends to get crowded at times but he sleeps so well.

Re: WANTED: Updates on moms and babes; post your's!
Gabriel and I have been doing well. We are starting to get into a routine now that he is over his jaundice and able to sleep longer. He is terribly gassy at night but I have just started giving him mylicon with his feedings starting at 8 pm until morning and that has helped tremendously. Otherwise he screams for 2 hrs at a time (not fun). He loves to be held and so he will not sleep in his crib or pack n play so I have resorted to the car seat for the past 3 nights which he loves. He sleeps up to 3 hrs in there as opposed to 10 minutes in his crib LOL. I was letting him sleep on my chest but it makes me nervous to cosleep and I don't sleep as well so I am trying to cut that out. He breastfeeds well and is no longer on a suppliment since he has gotten past the jaundice that made the first 2 weeks of his life miserable for mommy with hospital stays and drs visits. He will never remember though. He is also gaining well now and at 3 weeks he was 7 lbs 15.5 oz. His birthweight was 7 lbs 11 oz. He was a slow gainer bc of the jaundice but is catching up now. He has his 1 month appt on Friday so we will see how big he is then. Also we are doing cloth diapering and it is going great. He still has tons of hair as well which I think makes him just adorable. We use BumGenius One Size 3.0. If you have ever considered cloth diapers these are so easy almost just like disposibles other than the cleaning. I have also noticed that his skin looks so much better with the cloth diapers with less irritation. When I have to use disposibles between cleanings his butt gets so irritated and red.
Me and baby

Ellie-Marie; born January 16th; weight 8lbs9oz and 20 inches long. Though she has been thriving and in good health; the day after my dh, Michael and I were released from the hospital; January 19th; a health worker from hell invaded our lives. Having just had a c-section, of course I wasn't supposed to do anything strenuous let alone drive, however this health worker insisted that I find a ride to get Ellie-Marie checked out because she had lost a pound. After giving the doctor a piece of my mind, he was satisfied that I wasn't doing anything wrong, but asked me to come back in a week to check on Ellie-Marie's weight gain.
Anyway, she sleeps well and eats well, and that is what matters most!

Re: WANTED: Updates on moms and babes; post your's!
Dionna is doing amazing.....The first week was horrible on me having to go to the hospital every morning to get her blood drawn to check her billi levels....The one nurse was the only one allowd to draw her blood, she is almost 6 months pregnant with her little girl and kept asking me questions because all of her friends said that girls are harder than boys and give you more problems......I hate when people put thier experiences on you that that is how things are going to go. I reasured her that things will be fine and that my girl is a little angel, nothing like what her friends described to her.
She is gaining weight very well, almost up to 10 lbs...would be more but from losing that little bit the first week from the jaundice. She is constantly smiling and making all the cutest baby noises. She is co-sleeping with us also, we just started with it this week, she is sleeping so much better.....along with mommy and daddy. She tries to pull herself up whenever I am holding her hands, she is so alert and focuses right on you as soon as she hears you talking. Pretty soon she is going to be rolling over, she is so close to it already. When she is laying on my chest and picks her head up (so well to) she starts to try and bring her body and so she can lay on her back.
I am down almost 30 lbs now, could not believe the scale when I saw it. I believe that my stitches are completely dissolved and my utuerus has back to its normal size for some time now. Daddy is just so in love with her, soon as he gets home from his long trips, she is all his. Over the weekend I was really sick and was not able to hold anything in and became very dehydrated. He went to the store and got me pedialiyte and he took care of Dionna all night for me so I could sleep it off or sweat it out. Which was great b/c once I woke up I was back to myself. I love that he is so involved with her. Tyler couldnt be happier to be a big brother, he loves her so much and always wants to help out. He still loves his mommy n me time but soon as she wakes up, he is the quick to jump up and make sure that she is ok. Natalia I think is still a little jealous but is now realizing that she still gets the attention from both me and Tony.
She is 2 weeks and 4 days today...these pictures were from this past Friday, she was 2 weeks old. Some of you may have seen them already from the post I made.
My sleeping beauty.....

Our little angel all bundled up....

My step-dad saus she should be an Anne Geddis baby(?) Says she looks like a laughing caterpillar here...

Re: WANTED: Updates on moms and babes; post your's!
I can't believe that Ian is a month old! Ian is only weighing in at about an ounce over his birth weight (6-14), but he's grown 2+ inches. The ped and I think my milk supply may be dwindling, and even though I've been doing just about everything to try to increase it and get Ian hindmilk, he's still not gaining as he should be. Looks like we'll be switching to formula. Even though it's not what I wanted, I want to do what's best for my little man. Other than the weight issue, he's doing really well. He was diagnosed with reflux, but he's doing much better with medication, and he sleeps for 4 hours at a time most nights twice. He's so much more alert these days, and I can tell he's discovering new things every day. I also love seeing little bits of his personality starting to emerge. He has lost that newborn look, and I hope soon he'll be nice and chubby like the rest of the babies! I'm doing well. It was extremely hard at first with Ian's jaundice. Trying to get him to wake up to eat was a chore, and I would cry and cry - sometimes for no reason. I'm feeling much better, and I have lost 30+ of the 55 lbs I gained. I am still in maternity pants, but I started back to Weight Watchers and exercising, and I hope to be back in some of my old clothes soon.

emily2871063: 1 little question though...my bleeding seems to come and go. Its never heavy anymore but its still bright red sometimes and there'll be nothing for a day and then it will reappear the following day
I had my c-section 3 weeks ago today and I have the same problem mine actually started getting really light before I even left the hospital...but now seems to come in gushes since this is my first c-section
I'm guessing its normal :)

So fun to see everyone's babies! They are all so sweet!
Isaac and I are doing well. I also have the spotting that kind of comes and goes. Isaac will be 4 weeks tomorrow, and I can't believe how quickly it's gone by! He weighed in at 9lbs last week and is really starting to chunk up! He's such a sweet little guy! Here's a picture from a couple of weeks ago. I need to upload some more recent ones, but this one is cute!

Re: WANTED: Updates on moms and babes; post your's!

Ahh finally some time!!
Connor is now 4 weeks old, my has it flown! Last weigh in he was 13 lbs, lets just say he loves his boob. He is completely opposite of how Rory was and is high maintenance.! He hates the car, will only sleep in my bed, hates clothes, will not take a soother etc. He had his days and nights mixed up for the first two weeks and now he suffers from "fussy baby syndrome" in the early evening until usually 11PM, absolutely nothing makes him happy!! We have pulled out all the stops trying to make him happy, but only time and patience work! Other than that he is a healthy baby boy and I love him to death!!!!
Rory decided to save the terrible 2's for when Connor arrived! He is absolutely sweet with Connor and loves to give him hugs, but has been having lots of tantrums. I had to revert him back to the crib for naps and so far it is working really well, so at least when Connor is in cry mode, he is happy and well rested!
DH goes back to work tomorrow, so it will be interesting to see how I do on my own. Everyone's babes are absolutely beautiful and I hope everyone is doing well.
