    Re: Monday Weigh-In

I don't know numbers because we don't have a scale around the house, except that I gained 52lbs, so I have quite a bit to lose. At three weeks post I had lost 24lbs, giving me 28 to go, plus about 20 that I never lost after the other two pregnancies I've had in the last 3 years. Anyway...I just got pics back from my meet the baby shower type party two weeks ago, 4 weeks post and I look huge. Nothing like a photo to give you a harsh dose of reality, so once everyone was tucked into bed, including the hubby I spent 30 minutes tonight watching reality TV and riding the exercise bike with the arm glider things (not sure the technical name). Then while finished I said no to the girl scout cookies and had a drink of calorie free crystal light. It's a start. I will know more on the weight when I go for my 6 week check up on Tuesday.

    Re: Monday Weigh-In

So I wore real people pants on Friday for the first time since last October. They were ill-fitting and a bit larger than my normal size, but they did not have a three-inch wide elastic waist. I loooooooove that elastic waist!

I am eating differently now... no sugar, no dairy, no wheat, no corn, no soy, no meat, NO SUGAR! Oh, and did I mention NO SUGAR?

It is so hard. I went to a Mother's Day picnic today and was so grateful they had fruit and veggie platters! And brown rice salad in and amongst the barbecue and cupcakes and potato chips and cheetos and cheese platters...

The nice thing is that I get to eat A LOT because all I can eat are fruits, veggies, brown rice, nuts, seeds...

I am doing this for a month and have 3 weeks to go. Other than missing cookies and chocolate, I feel really good physically, mentally and emotionally. Bonus.

I went for my 6 week check up today. I weighed in at 165 which means I've only lost 3lbs in the last 3 weeks, WTH. Anyway, I started my exercise routine Sunday and so far I'm 3 days for 3, I'm trying to cut out junk food and junk drink and I go back to work tomorrow which means no more sitting on my butt with the little one.  I am hoping the combo of these 3 things and breast feeding will lead me to better results when I go back in June to get my Mirena put in.

Here we are, 10 days since my last post... in my old, regular people jeans (biggish ones, not the svelte ones). They are actually comfy. The svelte ones are not... I can get them on and fasten the button, but that whole muffin top thing.... not so attractive. 21 days into my excruciatingly basic eating plan. Still toeing the line.

    I reeeeeeeeeeeeeeally miss cookies.....

Well, ladies, I am down 15lbs since we started our thread here...I would still like to lose 20-25 more (the weight I was still holding on to from my 2nd and 3rd pregnancies).  I now weigh about the same thing I did when I got pg this time, but some of my clothes still don't fit :(    ~~Angie~~

Nice work everyone. I've hit a plateau but I'm also not doing anything that *should* cause me to lose any more weight.Wink

Well I've gotten back down to pre-preg, but am still going for another 5-10 lbs. I would settle for just firming up some more though. :) Way to go everyone! And good luck for the rest of the journey :)

I finally gave in and bought a scale. 3 weeks after I started eating better and daily exercise I lost 12lbs, bringing me to 153.  I still have 13lbs left of baby weight and then 20 extra pounds.  It feels good to be making progress though.  And I allow myself to go out for ice cream once a week so that I don't have that constantly being deprived feeling.

I have no idea what I weigh now, but my clothes are fitting fairly well (though I still prefer the comfy, maternity elastic band jeans...lol). I have gotten lots of compliments on how well I have "bounced back" after having a baby. Feels good! I am learning how to gracefully accept compliments... not something I have much practice with!

Oh Hell, scratch that. I got there with both kids in tow, got Cady situated at the center only to be told they had cancelled the class due to lack of enrollment. They didn't call me b/c they had me signed up for PREnatal aerobics, not POSTnatal. Oh well. I still have the Wii.

Ok I know I shouldn't complain because it's only 5 pounds but they won't shed.  I'm exercising almost every day and trying to watch what I eat.  I was feeling pretty good until I went to put on my summer clothes and the waistline was too tight in all of them.  I went to Walmart and bought a few pairs of shorts one size up - I refuse to spend money on a new wardrobe!

I am stuck too, now I know after 4 it's not supposed to be easy to loose the weight, but I am going crazy because I didn't do anything at all before!! I thought about getting a personal trainer, but I am just not a diet type person I feel that at 24yrs I should still be able to eat pretty much what I want and with exercise be able to at least be at a comfortable weight!! Sorry for the venting, I'm just so irritated!! Good luck getting past your plateau!!

    Re: Monday Weigh-In

well I've lost all my baby weight and its pretty much due to stress.  Guess that's what happens when you go through a divorce...my problem is getting everything toned!  The giggle in my belly and my butt is sooooo not attractive by any stretch of the definition and I HAVE to get back into shape.  I have to be at a Red carpet event in a month and my dress is KILLER but will show my gut.  Guess that''s my motivation.
