Is anybody's Baby learning to sit too!!!!!!!!!?????????

My little angle will not be held like a baby anymore. Its amazing that for over a week now she is happy to be held in a sitting position rather than in the baby position. I was nervous about it but gradually i am getting comfortable with the idea. she will be going for her 3month inoculation this Saturday so i will be sure to get professional advice on this one. Anyone whose baby is sitting with support too?

Yes. My son just made 3 months yesterday and for the past 2 weeks when he is laying down he tries to sit up. It looks so funny to me. It looks like he is doing crunches. I make jokes saying he is tring to get his six pack ready : ). But yes, he would rather sit up straight rather than be held like a little baby. It's hard to let go of that cause it means the are growing up and you want them to stay little forever. But I think it is ok to sit them in a sitting position because it is getting there back muscles stonger. Just like when you put the baby down for tummy time, it is helping them get thier neck muscles stronger. I sometimes even prop him in a sitting position on the couch when i'm right there next to him.

My son Elijah is 5 months today and he is always trying to sit up. He wants to be apart of everything! He started sitting assisted about a month ago, but he was holding his head up by the time he was 2 months. My pediatrician told me to do little exercises to help strengthen all of his muscles, and that helps alot.

My Baby has just reached 6 mths and she has been sitting for bout a month with no support just cusions round her. she has had alot of strength since she was born tho, holding her head up and alsorts. she's even trying to walk, if i hold her hands she will pull herself up into a standing position which is rather worrying as i think its too soon for her little legs. dont see health visitor for another month tho.

My son's name is Elijah too! He's about to be 7 months now...but he sits very well. He can sit for long periods of time and play with toys a lot!!! He gets into everything in his reach also! Sometimes he falls backwards after long periods of time, but he'll get it! :)
