Questions about places down below... :)

Hello, everyone. I hope everyone and their babies are doing well! I haven't been on in a while, but you ladies always had good advice, and I have a couple questions... 1) Does anyone have experience with an IUD? I am using Mirena, and I have not had a period EVER! Mia is 11 months old, and I have not had a single period since before I was pregnant. Anyone else the same? 2) I have been wearing a pad since I was pregnent. No joke. Every day and night of my life I have to wear a pad because I CONSTANTLY leak urine!! :( I have tried Kegels and even a patch my gyne gave me, but neither has worked. I'm tired of wearing pads and not ever being dry. Does anyone else have this problem? What do you do?? I hope to hear back from someone!!

Well there are only a few posting moms here now. I don't know who all peeks in every now and then but I have no idea. I hope someone else can help you. As for me in my opinion I think you are way too young to be leaking urin yet. If I were in your place I think I would try to change my method of contraception. Good luck girl I hope you get some relief.

I also have Mirena, and have had no period since the week it was placed. My OB tells me that is normal, and his wife also has no period, so he's got almost first-hand experience with it. As far as the leaking, that is not a side effect of an IUD, so you need to go back to your doctor and try a different medication. Urine leaks should not occur in anyone our age. Good luck to you!

That sucks! I'm on the pill but my sis has an IUD and she hasn't gotten a period since she got it placed 3 years ago.

The constant leaking is a bit wierd. I will leak every once in a while when I sneeze or something and I've got go...but it's nowhere near constant! How big was Mia when she born? I had a friend who had 2 BIG (10+) babies both delivered vaginally and she ended up having to have her bladder lifted because her muscle tone was gone.

I have been leaking since I was PREGNANT with Mia--not after I had her. And, like I said, it's constant all day. It's driving me crazy and don't know what to do! I've been wearing pads thinking eventually it would stop, but it hasn't. :( What types of things can make you leak like that??

Where do you even go to find out what's wrong? Last time I said something to my gyne, she said sometimes it happens with kids, and it's no big deal... Who fixes this type of problem, and how?

Call a urologist. That's their 'area' of expertise....Stick out tongue Here's a page from the UrologyHealth.org site:

I hope you are able to get medical help, because what you deal with every single day is a trouble that maybe can be fixed for you! Good luck.
