    Things babies can't eat

Okay, so eggs, honey, and nuts.

I know to avoid them, but I wasn't really thinking and I put nutmeg in some butternut squash I made for Rylan. I already gave him some, but now I'm wondering if I should just make a pie with it. It's a whole squash and made a ton of food, so I can't bear to throw it away, but nutmeg IS a tree nut. In fact, I only have it in nut form, not powder, so I don't know what I was thinking grinding it into his food. Clearly I wasn't. Has anyone else used nutmeg? Does anyone have an opinion on this one? I'm thinking of calling my pediatrician's office in the morning.

I would just watch for signs. The allergic reactions don't usually show until the second or third time having it. I do know that nutmeg does trigger reactions quickly in those with nut allergies. A friend of mine ordered french toast once and they put nutmeg in it. His throat started closing soon after. I don't think it causes as severe a reaction. Because he didn't go to the hospital. But it works quickly. Don't know if this will help. But thought i would share.
