    bleeding gums

Does teething sometimes make the gums bleed. We noticed Zach chewing on his toy boat (bath toy) and that he had blood all over his face. We took it away and figured it was his gums, but I wanted to ask others if this was normal.

I would say it's normal i mean think about something is coming out of the gums. I owuld say though if it's really bad maybe call the doc jus tto make sure he's not over bleeding.

I'm not saying it's not normal but Coben has four teeth and we didn't have any blood and there was never blood with my daughter. I'd call to be sure.

which teeth? and yes, it CAN be normal. with my firstborn when his front 2 teeth on the top came out they bled, as well as canines and molars. also, if he was teething hard cause it hurt they can hurt themselves too (like we nick our gums)

Thank you all for the responses. I think it was just the hard plastic hit his soft gums the right way. There hasn't been any blood sense. He is breaking through the two top front teeth and one next to the top front.
