    teething

hi this is ozlem from istanbul, turkey and this is my first post.: the other posts have been quite helpful but I need to ask one thing: my 7,5 month old daughter still doesn't have any teeth and she doesn't seem to start her teething problems. the gums aren't white yet and she doesn't salivate which means it will take a bit more time. my baby was born on 14 Dec 2007. could the moms whose babies have a similar birth date write their experiences please?

My son was born on Dec 7, and he has 2 teeth! His gums werent really white when he started teething, they were more red than anything. Also, he didnt just slobber, but he started having cold like symptoms (fever, runny nose, congestion), and he was also very fussy!

My daughter was born dec. 5th and also does not have any teeth. My 3 1/2 year old son had teeth by 6 mo. I have read that all children are different. Some don't get their 1st tooth until 1 yr.

hi, my baby was born on 31 of dec, she got her teeth at 6 months, she was very fussy during that period n had little bit of temperature, n dribbled a lot, one advise from me is.... instead of changing babies cloths try to put on beep. Teething in babies differ, so u dont worry, just enjoy ur babies smile without teeth, as once they come u wont get that smile again........

    Re: teething

My son is seven and a half months old. He has not yet cut teeth. However I believe now he is on the verge of it. For the past few days he has been fussy, has a chin rash and wakes up multiple times during the night. I have never used orajel because my peedetrician says it doesnt cause any good. Sometimes it may end up numbing the gum beyond relief, and babies may even swallow the gel. I have used cold cloths and clean fingers to rub his gums, and offered him cold water and even ice creme (which he loves). I sure hope he gets his incisors soon and can get back to his normal routine.

My daughter was born on 12.12.07 and she just got her first tooth with another on the way and THANK GOD she did it without incident. Each child is different and his tooth will come along when the time is right. Continue to enjoy his smile as is.

hi, i use bibs on my son but i still have to change his clothes as he dribbles alot, and as it is winter here he has been sick so instead of him getting worse from wet clothes on his chest it is easier to change his clothes a few times a day rather than having him sick for longer..thankyou for the advise anyway. With my other 4 children they all had there 1st tooth by 6 months and this time its really different, im hoping that his 1st one will come through soon.
