    Cloth wipe question

Hi, Mommies! I'm due in November w/ our first baby. I think I'm going to try BG 3.0 cloth diapers, and since I'm trying cloth, I thought it made sense to use cloth wipes...I'll be washing laundry anyway! My question is this: what product have you all used to clean baby's bottom w/ the cloth wipe? I found one called 'Baby Bits' - they are small cubes of a glyceren(sp?) and essential oil mixture that you mix into warm water to melt/mix. Then, it can be sprayed on a cloth, or put into a wipe warmer.

Has anyone tried this particular product, or have one that they cannot live without? Thank you in advance for your input!

I make my own solution for my wipes. I keep water in my wipe warmer that I use when DS only has pee diapers. Then in a small spray bottle I put water, 2 or 3 drops of baby wash and 1 or 2 squirts of baby oil that I use for poopy diapers. It works great! I tried the Kissaluvs diaper lotion potion, I think that's what it's called, and I think it's just too expensive. Not anything really wrong with the product, but I personally think it's cheaper to make something yourself.

We use cloth wipes with our CD's- and just water. Even with the poopie dipes she gets clean, I am sure solutions/soaps are nice but you can do fine without them as well.

I use plain water sometimes but sometimes I like to mix it up a bit.  I generally use either booty cubes , buddha bunz soy wipe solution

    or sudzy baby wipes solution

I have baby bits and love them...the only thing is that you can only have wipes in the warmer for a few days, like three..and then they can start to get funky! Putting it in a spray bottle would probably work well too :)

That's so true. If you leave wipes in the warmer they do start to get funky. That's why I just keep the water in it and then dunk the wipe I use for that change. The water will last a long time without getting funky. It does for me anyway. The you can have a seperate spray bottle for a solution. That's what works great for me, like I said before. You really just need to find out what works best for you.

Hi ladies, I know there probably aren't many of you around here who remember me. Anyway, I used to be a regular here and thought I'd visit again tonight just to see what all is going on. About the wipe solution: I'm pregnant with #6 and have used cloth diapers from the very beginning...didn't discover cloth wipes until baby #3. Anyway, I've tried a variety of homemade recipes as well as the baby bits and have found that my favorite wipe solution is either just plain water, or water with a squirt of baby bath mixed in. HTH
