    Sensory Processing Disorder

We are in the midst of getting an official diagnosis for Christian.  It is all so frustrating.  It explains a lot though.  I don't have the emotional wherewithall to get into details right now but lots of prayers would be welcome.  Here is a little info on SPD

I hope everyone is doing well!

I'm really sorry you're going through this -- I know it's really hard, but learning what Christian's problem is will be so helpful to everyone in the long run -- it'll allow everyone to address whatever special needs he has.

I know I've mentioned this other places, but you are not alone.  I know it feels that way and that you are trying to get through a lot, but there are others out there who know what you're going through.  And I do promise, you can get through this!  Christian is a very bright and special little boy and with a few learning techniques (and similar), everything will turn out just fine!!!!!!!!!!

Feel free to contact me if you need ANYTHING!!!!!
    All the best,
    Ilene

    Re: Sensory Processing Disorder

spd is also known as sid (sensory integration disorder) and james has it...he's oral, auditory, and tactile, all mod/severe....it's a challenge to the say the least!  him being 10 now, he's learned how to adapt himself quite a bit to things around him, when he was younger it was much more difficult, especially with people who didn't "know" us, like school staff and what not, to really pay attention to what they were doing in regards to setting him off because of his over sensitivies....
