    Hearty Split Pea Soup

I'm making this soup in the crockpot today.  It's very rainy and cloudy outside, this is going to be for dinner tonight.  I told DH he has to bring home a loaf of French bread so I can make garlic bread out of it.  The kids are asleep right now, I'm drinking a Cherry Coke and will be tackling house work shortly.  What are dinner plans for everyone else?

Saumya, I'd love to taste your cooking.  I wish Cy would eat more beans.  They're so healthy.  We were at a Mexican restaurant yesterday for lunch.  He ate mashed refried pinto beans mixed with the rice.  That's pretty much the only way he'll eat beans.  It's good to hear Aadya loves beans.

mm...lemme know how that split pea soup is. I need a good recipe!  I used my crock pot today, too.  We had kielbasa with sourkraut and beer. Yeap...all of it was put into the crockpot this morning and cooked all day. It was really good on a big bun! :D

How did the soup turn out?  My husband LOVES split pea soup.  I'll have to try this for him when we get back from our cabin trip!

It turned out great!  I added some chicken bouillon due to quite a few reviewers' comments, and it was delicious.
