  I Don'T Want To Be A B*tch... Reply Contact ....but ARRRRRRGH!!! My Mother-in-law was here all weekend.  And everytime I told Ander or Loki to do something (with full understanding, I might add, that Loki is only successful 10% of the time...but Ander is about 90%), she followed-up by begging them to comply.  UGH!  Now that she left, Ander thinks that he can negotiate every instruction. "Ander, don't put your brother in a headlock or you'll go in timeout."  Ander, while going further with the squeeze of poor Loki's neck, "but he likes it mommy.  Just let me do it a little bit."  Even Alan is copying his mom without realizing it.  I give an instruction and Alan clarifies, makes an excuse for the child, or does something else to undermine me, which is NOT his norm!  I don't even drink, but I sure could use a glass of wine!

Reply Contact  You know, I think you're on to something there, Natch.  I think you need to pull out a bottle of wine when she arrives and keep it (or the next one) out until she leaves.  It sounds like that will be the only way you'll survive her visits in a sane way.
