Hello there, Well im 20 weeks pregnant and I was having the same problem. I have bought my self a boppy body pillow for mothers a week ago and its amazing. it helps with my back an hip pain because it supports you as your sleeping. Well i hope that works out for you as good as it did for me ;).

A body pillow is a good idea...try using a pillow or two between your knees while laying on your side. It helps to have a good mattress and the right pillow support for you head.too big or too small pillow can cause neckache. Try getting some Icy Hot for your back maybe that will help or a heating pad.

Doctors will tell you that tylenol is okay during pregnancy. If you feel more comfortable asking first then go ahead. Tylenol helped me alot. After 2 doses you may be good for 2 months!!!! Personally the Rapid Release is my favorite! Good Luck.

HI, I also have trouble sleeping at night now with my second pregnancy, 20 wks. It is very frustrating and I just try to relax about it and read some books until I can sleep again. i want to tell you that with my first pregnancy I was able to stop my back pain with prenatal yoga once a week. If I didn't go for a week, my back hurt, but if I went I was fine. Then you can do come of the exercises at home too. A little bit can go a long way.

I had horrible hip pain at less then 20 weeks it was awful , id get home from working on my feet all day and get home try to change into sweats and end up throughing them accross the room and sitting on the bed bawling my eyes out becouse it hurt so bad to lift my leg to get them on , it was horrible horrible pain, i could never afford the body mommy pillow if you cant try piling pillows up around your body and one of my ob/gyns said that if taking tylonol just once didnt help that i could take one a day to help off set it ahead of time and as preventative but you should probly ask your doc first- good luck!

I made trips to my chiropractor and they helped tremendously.  I developed sciatica with my 2nd, 3rd, and 4th pregnancies and that seemed to be the only thing that truly helped.  The body pillow is amazing, too, but it made it hard to snuggle with the hubby!

1/2 tablet of Unisom at night is what my OB nurse recommended for me and it worked.  I don't know if it would help with your pain or not, but it certainly made me sleepy!
