    Wish me luck...

I can no longer deny the signs that Lindsey is ready to start potty training.  I'm probably the only one on this board who isn't excited to have their little one out of diapers.  Probably because she's my last baby or the fact that I've trained 3 boys, so I know what I'm in forSmile.  Call me selfish, but I kind of like going shopping and not having to drop everything to rush a toddler to the potty...Stick out tongue.  But, Lindsey has been waking up from naps dry and is barely wet in the mornings, she tells me when she's gone poo, "Mama, poo stink."Surprise  She's started telling me when she's wet and has excellent verbal skills and a few days ago started asking to go potty (even though she did nothing every time she sat there).

So, yesterday was her first day in panties and she did alright.  Today she's doing much better, so I'm happy about that.  I'm hoping she trains as fast as her oldest brother did because by the time he was where she is, he was fully trained within two weeks.  So, wish me luck!!!!  Lord, grant me patience.

Best of luck to you!!!  I had really stopped trying to potty train Kaelin because I was thinking that she just didn't get it.  Now she is potty training herself.  The last few days when she has to pee she goes to the potty all by herself.  We have her potty in the living room.  This morning I was in the washroom and a couple of minutes later she brought me the bowl from her potty filled with pee!  She knows that after she goes she has to dump it in the big toilet.  So we are starting to the peeing down, but she is unpredictable when she has to go #2, so I think that will take a bit longer.

But I totally hear you about the shopping.  I don't think I'm going to like having to ask if she has to potty every 10 minutes.  Oh well, I guess that just part of growing up:(

GOOD LUCK!!!!  Evan went to the potty in the potty for the first time last week.  It was so exciting.  Of course he hasn't been back since.  Same thing about the diapers though, I've been noticing they are dryer when waking up.  I think it's right around the corner.

Well, day three and it's almost 1pm and she's doing great!!  She's only had one small accident...went a little in her pants, then finished on the potty.  I'm very proud of her, but I'm not holding my breath just yet.  I've done this before, so I'm well aware that potty training is a "two steps forward, one step back" process.  But, she is doing really well and looks so cute running around here in her panties...her little bottom looks so small without that diaper.Big Smile

Yay Lindsey!!!!  Aren't they just too adorable in their big girl underwear???  Kaelin looks soooo cute......too bad she doesn't like to wear them.  As soon as I put them on her in the morning, they are gone in about 5 minutes.

Kaelin has been doing awesome today on the potty.  She hasn't had any accidents, only a wet pull-up after her nap.  And I haven't even asked her if she has to go!  She just goes all by herself.......I swear that child is too smart for her own good. LOL

I think you and I are fully into potty training now.  No turning back!

    Lucky us!Party!!!

Well, day three has almost ended and only three accidents!  She had that many the first hour of day oneBig Smile

But, I do have a bit of a problem...  I trained my boys on the regular toilet, but since we only have one bathroom for six people, I decided to buy Lindsey a little potty today for back up.  Got her a pink one (she loves pink) that can also be used as a step stool or a seat for the big potty.  Well, thank goodness we've been putting the seat for it on the big potty for her to use because this evening I was fixing dinner and Lindsey came in the kitchen and says, "Mama, potty pink pacis."  Translation:  "Mommy, I put my pacifiers in the pink potty and now I'm bringing you the potty to show you."  I'm so glad that bowl has never been used because those pacis would have gone straight in the trash (which now that I think of it, may not have been a bad way to get rid of them...).  Got to make her understand that the pink potty is not for paci storage...  Silly girl!
