    Holy Moly...

    where has time gone?!?

It has been ages... literally over a year or more since I have posted on here. Don't know if many of you remember me... I hope to quickly catch up with all of you and find out what has been going on in your lives and with your little one(s).

Little bit about me...  Few Months after Quentin Turned 1, I left his father. He is an awful person and I am thankful I got out of an ugly situation. I moved back in with my mom and sister for roughly 8 months. I got an amazing job at a mortgage company and am still currently here. I HATE the fact that I don't get to be a SAHM any more, but I have to think about what is best for my son and we couldn't stay in a bad situation with his dad. After a few months of living with family, I moved out into my own apartment, just me and Quentin, We have been in our apartment for almost a year and doing great. I also started school last semester. So not only am I a single mom with a full time job (that I have to work 5-10 hours of overtime a week right now) I also decided to torture myself with 4 classes of school this semester. I know, what was I thinking...? It has been a rough crazy time with me and Quentin, he is AMAZING and smart and won't stop talking 98% of the time. He knows all of his alphabet, number in english to 25ish and spanish to 10, he knows all of his colors and shapes and has an amazing imagination. Ton's more, but I have lost full capacity of my brain since I am at work and trying to do homework at the same time (how's that for multi-tasking ;) We are working on potty training. He was doing really well and then regressed. He now is peeing on the potty every day, but won't tell me when he needs to go yet... so that is the only hang up when it comes to potty training.

Here is a few photo's from the past couple of years to help you catch up with Q.. :)

    Re: Holy Moly...

Glad to hear from you!  I haven't posted here in over a year either, but I just started a new full time job, so I am back!

GOOD FOR YOU for leaving a bad situation!  It really sounds like you are doing a GREAT thing for you and Quentin.  It is hard to have to strength to move home and live with your parents...but good for you girl!

Congrats on going back to school!  What are you going for?  I was considering going back to school - it would be all paid for with being an unmarried parent of 2, but I just don't know that I could commit myself fully - but I am going to try...maybe!  :o)

Carter is going to be 3, December 4th.....you are right, where has the time gone?  Carter talks all day long - sometimes you just gotta tell him "no talking for 5 minutes!" so that my ears can get a break. He is also going through a whining phase - he whines about everything.  He also always wakes up in the crabbiest moods - that sucks.  Potty training is going great for us right now.  He still wears a diaper at nap and bed time, but during the day he does wonderful in "undies".  I love not having to buy diapers all the time!

My baby girl, Layla, is going to be ONE on October 16th.  WOW. I am still in shock over that one!  Her birthday party is next week. We are having family and friends over for pizza and cake and ice cream.  We did a really big bash for Carter's 1st, and it was just out of hand and chaotic, so this year for Layla we are doing something short and sweet.  She has 3 teeth (Carter had 7 by his 1st bday) and she isn't walking...but she sure is my lover baby.  She would cuddle all day long if she could. She also has got a dive attitude.  You take something away from her and she will throw a hardcore fit - its pretty annoying, but she learned it from her brother!  (Andy says she learned it from me - jerk!)  :)

Keep coming back....this board is a ghosttown....we need to get it back moving like it used to be!

oh my goodness you have 2 now??? that's CRAZY! I would love to have another ..... someday. That day is way in the future considering I don't even have a boyfriend right now. lol.

I am GLAD to hear that Q is not the only one that whines. Q has also been waking up in crabby moods and throwing tantrums for the smallest things (such as putting on his shoes) it's weird, not sure if it's an age thing, or an enviroment thing. We have been traveling a lot lately due to family death, family reuntion, and went on just a roadtrip to see one of my friends. I figured he was just tired of traveling and needed to get back on a regular schedule. Q turns 3 on the 5th... yikes!! Not sure what the game plan is yet.. last 2 years i have had his party planned WaY in advance, this year i may just have a small get together, not anything big. that may change though.

Wow lady talk about blast from the past!! I remember you and your lil Q!! He's still as cute as ever. I have another too, Rian is 9mths old. Adria is the same as Carter, I was starting to worry, but now I see its normal for this age! She talks non stop too, or if she's not talking, she's crying/whining, omg it makes me crazy! She is fully toilet trained now. She wakes up dry every day now, but I still put a diaper on at night because she sleeps in our bed and I'm scared of waking up in a puddle lol. She has freak outs about crazy small things and can be so bossy. Her B'day is Nov 30, I still haven't worked out what we are doing yet! Great to see you.
