What does DH and DS stand for?

What does DH and DS stand for?

At first I thought it was someone's initials, but then I saw it in different people's posts. I'm guessing it means "Da Husband" (like the husband) or "Dad/Husband" and DS means "Da Son." Please set me straight! :)

DH is darling husband DS darling son DD darling daughter and so on............ paula
