    12 month feeding

My son Leo is turning 1 next week and I'm not really sure how to handle the change in feedings. I won't be able to review it with the pediatrician b/c she's booked for another 2 weeks. I'm assuming we just stop the formula and replace those 6-8oz feedings 3-4 times daily with whole milk. Just seems like a lot of milk! All of the foods in between meals can continue, I guess, but what about the rice cereal? Any advice would be great.

    Re: 12 month feeding

Hey there, my son will be a year old on Saturday and has been eating table food since he was 9 months old and still nurses 5 times a day. I would just start giving him a sippey cup of whole milk once a day and keep with the formula the other feedings. Or mix them half and half if he isn't into the cow's milk. I guess I would ease into it. My son hasn't had rice cereal since he was 7 months old. He just didn't like it. If that is what he is eating for BK maybe try oatmeal.
