I have a new shop for my photography

I have been busy with setting up a new shop for my photography. I was encouraged by some friends to start selling my photographs. I have listed in the store my 8x10s but you can also get cards and 5x7s if you let me know what you want. Everything is professionally printed (no home printer printing!!). The cards take about 7-10 days to get in but they are beautiful!!

Please take a look at my shop and tell me what you think http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=6420791

I have also found a new alternative to paypal that will help save money in fees if anyone is interested in signing up it would help me out if you use my referral  link as I get $10.00 per person. This will help me get the money to start on my project I hope to launch by Christmas, magnets with my pictures https://www.revolutionmoneyexchange.com/ReferAFriend_landing.aspx?referreremail=racquel@thescarletletter.org&SOLID=rafbtn893313a'

I have read several books all by the talented photographer Bryan Peterson which got me started. Then I joined a photography forum that has thousands of helpful members which really helped me grow in this art. No classes just a lot of reading and a ton of practicing. I might have found a photographer in Texas who I might be able to shadow on a model shoot next year, his work is just wow amazing!

I still have a long way to go in my skill but I improve day by day. Now that I have gotten over the fear of flash my work has improved now I am trying to master the art of stacking images and that one is not as easy..lol.I am hoping the magnets will be a big seller as work has slowed a lot for Mike, so many businesses in town are closing as well so we will have to rely on any income I can make for the holidays.

Thanks so much for the compliment! You really made my day!

    Are you still making jewelry?

It has been over 9 months since I have made anything. Silver prices went too high and with the economy being the way it is I could not justify sinking money into it with nothing selling. Right now silver is at the lowest it has been in a year. I might buy some more silver wire in Jan if the price is still the same or lower. I miss creating jewelry but it is so hard to find the time with boys. At least with photography you just take your camera with you and photograph life.

Good to hear from you, Racquel!  You have a true gift with photography and have come a long way in the last year!  I'm not just flattering you either.  I was married to a professional photographer in my former life that went to Brooks Institute and have seen a lot of professional work over several years.  Your shots are right up there with the graduate work I've seen!  Great job and keep up the fantastic shots!  I wished you lived closer - I would have you do portraits of the girls!

Wow Kim you really made my day!! Thanks so much! I cannot wait for next week to get here. I ordered the boys some Amish cloths since I could not find anything that looked vintage on the web. I want to do some pictures that look old with them for Christmas. I am hoping Caleb cooperates. Egan usually does but not Caleb! Maybe one of this days I will make it to CA and can take some pictures for you. Mike got too busy with customers to make it to the Oct Seminar but maybe soon he can plan the trip again.

I finally got some magnets done http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=17593467

I still suck at product photography..lol it is probably because I hate it. I would much rather be shooting nature, bugs or candids Stick out tongue
