Today, I was meeting my sister and her kids at the Walmart Superstore so that we could get pictures of all the grandkids taken for my mom & dad. My family got there early because we had other shopping to do. At the entrance was a police car with it's light flashing and Cameron was all excited that it looked like Sheriff (Sheriff is the police car in the movie CARS for those with girls). So we had to go "meet" the car and the policeman told Cameron that he was there to collect toys for little girls and boys who weren't going to get toys for Christmas. That was it.....I took Cameron in the store and all he talked about was getting a toy to take to the policeman for a little boy who wouldn't have a toy for Christmas.
We talked a lot....and according to Cameron, this toy was to be for a little boy like him....not a little girl. I let him pick a toy and he decided to buy a "Sheriff" car, because it looked just like the police car that we would be taking the toy to. When we were taking the toy outside, Cameron told me he could do it by himself....
(they are so independent now). He walked over to the policeman and told him that this car was for a little boy who didn't have a toy. Then he gave him a HI-5 and came running back to me so proud of himself.
I know it's sappy, but I really thought that Cameron would want the car for himself, but he couldn't wait to give it to the policeman. Very proud momma tonight.
