    Please say a prayer.

Ladies, since we moved here back in April DH and I have not been able to find a job. We have had odd jobs here and there but nothing steady. Now he is starting school this week and the stress of no job is getting to him. We are at that point of desperation. Both he and I prefer that I find a part time job working just 3 days a week. I have sent out many resume's but MI is not a great economy right now and finding jobs is hard. Please say a prayer that I will get a job interview and offer this week. We have to get some money in here quick so we can fill the propane tank before cold weather begins.

I hope you find something soon.  The economy is really bad here too, I know what you are going through.

Of course, I will offer up some special prayers for you and your family.  I'm sorry to hear that the economy in Michigan is so bad.  I hope that it improves and that something turns up very quickily.  Hang in there.  God has a way of opening new doors when it seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel.

Thanks. I appreciate it a lot. I am heading out to JC Penney catalog center tomorrow to apply. It is not great money but they are hiring part time right now and anything is better than nothing. I also sent out a resume yesterday for a job that I am really hoping to hear back on.

Sami, what about watching some kids part time?  That should bring in some money...I think things are bad everywhere.  Have you thought about going to your local department of socail services and see about help with your energy?  They may fill your tank!

Sami, I'm so sorry to hear that. Have faith though. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Do you have a temp service there? When DH and I were moving around a lot for his training I would always just go to the temp service. They'll put you in some non-glamorous jobs, but they always led me to something better by getting a foot in the door and hearing about opportunities that aren't regularly advertised.

    Re: Please say a prayer.

Well, things are still not going great. I think my main problem is that I am looking for part-time employment working only on M,W,F and possibly weekends. My DH is in school on T,TH, starting tomorrow and so I have to be home to watch the kids. Natalie is in school on M,W and half day F, so that will help DH out with studying. I know I have expierence in a great field, medical billing/receiving and that is a fairly decent feild yet but most of what I see is for full-time. There isn't a lot of that either but I do see it. I have never had a problem finding a job before. I normally didn't have to look for long and always seemed to excel at what I did. I am not famaliar with this type of frustration.

Sami, I hope you are both able to find something that will fit your schedules soon! I know how hard it must be to find something right now. I think the economy is bad everywhere. Praying for you and your family.

Thanks ladies. I have an interview tomorrow with an Ad agency and then am going in to apply for a carpet cleaning company for a job in the office. I hope something works out for me real quick here.
