I really haven't posted any belly pictures so I thought that I would share
some with you. I am currently 34 weeks and 2 days and my belly is rapidly
expanding. Sometimes it seems as if it can't possibly get any
bigger! :-) At my 32 week and 4 day ultrasound (almost 2 weeks
ago), the doctor estimated that the baby weighed 5 pounds. Since week 30,
I've been having weekly non-stress tests where they monitor the baby's
movements, my levels of amniotic fluid, and my blood pressure.
So far, everything is going well.

Re: Recent Belly Pictures
Beautiful belly Mari!! How is the 3rd trimester treating you? I'm praying there are no signs of preeclampsia!

Thank you for your comments, ladies. :-)
Hi Christine, long time no hear! I'm happy to say that we made it past 31 weeks and 4 days which is when our pregnancy with Conner sadly ended. However, last week (week 33) was very nerve wracking for us. Last Wednesday, I went for my non-stress test where they measured the level of my amniotic fluid and they said that my levels were low. It was a 6.2 and 5 is considered low. My doctor told me to make an appointment for that Friday (2 days later) so that they could recheck the levels. Thankfully, my amniotic fluid went back up to 13 (of course, that's after increasing my water intake to 4 liters, instead of 2-2.5 liters a day.) We were relieved about that but, when they took my blood pressure, it was high (about 149/93.) They took it two other times and it was still high (one of the readings was even higher and had my systolic pressure at 155!) We were sent directly to Labor and Delivery so that I could be admitted for possible signs of pre-eclampsia. This is what I had with Conner and since my doctor knows my history, she had previoulsy already told me that she would have a low tolerance for putting me on bed rest if I showed any signs of pre-eclampsia. As I was being admitted, I got very emotional since it brought back so many bad memories of when we were admitted to the hospital when I was pregnant with Conner (only to have him two days later and lose him 4 days after that.) On top of all that, last week marked the 2 year anniversary of Conner's loss so I was certain that it was a sign that things were going down the same road. They gave me the steroid shots for the baby (just in case.) They also took blood and collected my urine and, as it turns out, my doctor said that my numbers came back "beautiful." Also, my blood pressure went back down to normal so I must have just been nervous at the doctor's office. So instead of having to stay for 24 hours, I was released in the afternoon. It was a big sigh of relief yet a very anxious time for us.

Oh my gosh Mari! I'm so glad and thankful to hear that you are doing ok after that scare! I can't imagine the emotions you must have been feeling. I have been keeping you in my thoughts and prayers lately. What are you naming your little boy again?
