    Our Nursery Pictures

My husband and I have pretty much completed Mason's nursery so I wanted to share with you some pictures.  DH installed crown molding and chair rail around the entire room.  He painted the wall space above the chair rail yellow.  The space below the chair rail was painted so that it came out as blue, green, and white stripes.  This was the most time consuming part because it required both a lot of measuring with a tape measurer and a level to make sure that the lines were straight.  The only thing left for us to do is to get the carpets professionally cleaned, which we will do in the next week.  We are very proud of the way the nursery turned out so get ready for lots of pictures!  Hope you like them.  :-)

Picture of the nursery as you walk into the room showing the crib.

This shows the paint job and the blue, green, and white stripes which go all around the room.

The hutch that is on top of the dresser.

Conner's picture on one of the shelves with a book that we bought called "Someone Came Before You."  This is a book which we plan to read often to Mason and is for children that have come after the loss of a sibling.

    Armoire

    Stuffed dog chair.

Crib with the "Alphabet Soup" bedding.

This was "my project" where I painted the letters to coordinate with the blue and green colors in the room.  Then I hung the letters up with white satin ribbon.  This is one of my my favorite parts of the nursery.

    Rocking glider.

OMG it's so precious!!! You have given me quite a few ideas when it's our turn haha. We are wanting to do the crown mold in ours too.....we have to do some major remodeling first though.

My favorite parts are definetly the letters you decorated and the special things you added in Conner's memory....so touching!!! He's going to LOVE IT! Stick out tongue

That is really beautiful.  I, too, love the Conner memories around the room.  I wish we could afford to get so elaborate.  We are just hoping to have something other than bare plywood down in the baby's room soon.

I think it looks great!  I have been reading posts on here (dh and I have been trying to conceive #2 for about 19mos) but haven't posted yet.  Just read your story on Conner's Mem. Website and just about bawled through the whole thing.  Are you naming your son Mason Conner?  I am so excited for you and can't wait to see the pics of your new little one.

    Take Care,

Christina (mommy to Nathaniel, 3 1/2)

    Mari,

I love it.  I wished Sean's Room was put more together like Mason's.  Thanks for sharing.

    Mari,

It came out beautifully!  Your DH must have the patience of Job to have done those stripes!!  He gets a HUGE gold star for that!  I think the wonderful memories of his big brother Conner are so touching.  The room looks great!!

    What a beautiful nursery Mari!!

The bedding is the bedding we were going to get if this little one had been a boy!

I would never have the patience to do the stripes though. They look wonderful!!
