    Going to try IVF...

Hi Everyone - I'm just looking for some advice or knowledge that anybody might have out there who has looked into IVF options...anything to help with the cost?? My insurance doesn't cover it, which it sounds like most don't, and the clinic I've been going to doesn't even take discount programs. This will be my first time and they say I have a good success rate but of course that won't mean anything until it actually works. Does anyone know of any other monetary sources out there that might help with this type of thing, or discount programs that would be good? Anything in the New Mexico, Colorado, Texas or Arizona area would be great! Any other helpful research would be much appreciated as well! This is my only option to conceive so really hoping it will work somehow... Thanks a bunch!!

Hi there! Its been a long time since I logged in here. My husband and I did our first IVF cycle in March. Unfortunately we were unsuccessful, but I would recommend it to anyone who is struggling. I don't have any suggestions for you on cost, but I do on place. We went to a place called CCRM (colorado Center of reproductive medicine). Their facilities are located in Denver and are worldly recognized and people travel from all over the country just to go there. They are good at what they do. Check them out. I have also heard their is an awesome place in Texas, but I don't know the name. If you are interested in IVF you need to check out other IVF boards such as ivfconnections.com or ivf-infertility.com. Good luck in what you decide.

    Re: Going to try IVF...

I know of 2 AMAZING IVF clinics in Texas. If our 3rd IUI doesn't work, we are going with the one in Irving, Texas. It has amazing success rates (68%) and they are more than half the price of every single clinic I've checked out. The first is in Bedford, Texas and the website is www.embryo.net the clinic is CAS Center for Assisted Reproduction This clinic has a discount program the one we are going to is Irving, Texas and the website is www.ivfmd.net the clinic is Advanced Reproductive Care of Irving This clinic has THE best prices I have seen out of the entire USA! I hope this helps!

Thanks for the responses! Well, here's an update - I've been through everything up through the transfer and am now waiting to find out if it worked. Talk about stressful! We went through the fertility center in Albuquerque, which also has success rates in the high 60%, so very hopeful for good results. Only thing I've run into was that we had some issues after the egg retrieval with the fertilization, but the doctor didn't give any indication that something like that would change the percentages of success, once we had a successful transfer, which we did. I really have no idea what to expect now...first blood test is Tuesday so guess I'll know more then. But even if it's positive..not sure I'll really believe it until I'm really huge or something! Just a big waiting game and trying to stay positive. Lots of the posts I've seen talk about IVF not working or taking many times to work...I just don't have the emotional power or finances to go through this multiple times, especially since my chances are limited anyways. So we'll see! Keep ya posted...
