  Hello.... Reply Contact Hi everyone, my name is Tanya I was on here a couple years ago. My DH and I have been TTC since August of 2005. I have been diagnosed with PCOS and endometriosis. I have had surgery to take care of the endometriosis and I am on Medication to help with the PCOS. We did 3 IUI about a year ago with clomid. Next cycle we are going to try IUI with injectables and ultrasounds. Has anyone had this done? I'm not sure what to expect really. I mean I have read everything but I’m just nervous about it. On day 2 or 3 I will go to the Dr. and he will do labs and all that then give me more instructions. I'm just praying this works!!! If it doesn't I think we might do 1 more IUI w/injectables and ultrasounds, but then IVF, and we will have to wait at least another 1.5 years for that! Anyone have any suggestions on what to expect?   Re: Hello.... Reply Contact Hi there!! Welcome to the board. My DH and I have been TTC since Nov 05, so not too far behind you all. I will not be much help - we tried 1 IUI with DH's little guys and then when they wanted to move us to injectables we tried 2 donor sperm cycles and then moved on to our adoption journey b/c we would rather put thousands into actually getting a baby than the hope of getting one. I just wanted to wish you luck! I hope you won't have to move on to IVF. Our RE's wanted us to do that once we tried an injectables cycle but we had, had enough. Waiting 46 Months for a baby ~ DH has MFI; I have PCOS *Once my DD's physical gets faxed to agency on 10-2-09 we'll be PAPER PREGNANT!*

  Re: Hello.... Reply Contact Thank you. We have talked about adoption, but DH really wants to try just one cylce of IVF first, IF the IUI doesn't work. But adoption is an option that we may end up doing. I completely understand having had enough! It is really a very hard journey to travel without ever knowing if you will ever conceive! I see that tomorrow you will be Paper Pregnant ( I love that saying!) CONGRATS!!!!! :):):)

  Re: Hello.... Reply Contact  Thank you!! We should be starting our profile very soon and actually be waiting. If you do end up doing Adoption --- I won't lie to you. It's not easier in my eyes. Sometimes, emotionally, it's harder because things are no longer in our hands. With TTC, even with medical treatment, you have some kind of control b/c you are doing or taking things and dealing with your own body .... whereas we have to wait on everyone else for adoption. We had to allow someone to come in our home and evaluate if it was safe enough, if there was plenty of room, we had to go through interviews and make sure our mental, physical, emotional, financial, and marital status we're ggod enough to take on another child .... then we had to wait on the state to get our fingerprint and paperwork in, then we had to wait on references and then the social worker to turn in paperwork. Now we have to wait till the agency lets us start our profile and then we have to wait till someone chooses us to take their baby in. It's hard. Sometimes hard to look at the positives when all there has been is negatives. GL with your cycle!!! I hope it works out well!  Waiting 46 Months for a baby ~ DH has MFI; I have PCOS
