Re: After you got off birthcontrol, how long did it take?
My body expelled my IUD and I got pregnant 9 days later. Which is an absolute shock considering it took my 5 1/2 years to get pregnant the my second child

Wow, this post has been around a while! I went off my bc 4 years before I managed to get pregnant. Note that we weren't "trying" until a year ago, but that means 3 years of no protection, no bc, and no pregnancy :( We were actually starting to get worried! haha

Re: After you got off birthcontrol, how long did it take?
I took my last pill May 10th (in the middle of my pack). I went to the doctor the end of May and got pregnant the last week of June. I was on BC for 15 years without a break. My doctor had me tracking my cycle and my dh was dead set on doing the deed every day from 12-16 during my cycle. It paid off for us.

I was on BC for about 2 years but every pill, shot, patch, etc. they put me on made me gain to much weight (even though I was on an excercise routine and eating healthy) or they made me so sick I couldnt operate normally. I stopped taking them but never got pregers. I lived with my boyfriend for 5 years and nothing (he got tested and nothing is wrong with him) then we broke up and I met another guy (one night stand) got back together with my BF and boom ..... I was prego. I really believe it's really whenever God wants you to have kids.

Re: After you got off birthcontrol, how long did it take?
I've been on many different kinds of birth control (Depo shot, Ortho pill, Necon pill) since I was about 16. The last form of birth control I was on was the Necon pill for about a year (from early February 2007 to mid February 2008). I just stopped taking it one day in February and we didn't get pregnant until the beginning of August. So it took about 6 months.

I use an IUD for birth control since I can't handle the hormones.
First baby took 6 months to conceive, I started to worry but I just had to time it right, Second baby took 5 months to conceive. I have learnt that for me timing is everything. Don't stress about it? It will happen eventually but it isn't instant for everyone!

It is really hard to say how it will be for you. When I got pregnant the first time I was on the pill for years and it only took me ONE month to get pregnant... but when we decided to have a second baby it took me 13 months to get pregnant (so frustrating) and I had a miscarriage... very sad... then I got pregnant the second month trying after the miscarriage! The most you try and think in getting pregnant, the harder it gets! Enjoy and don't think about it, I know is hard but trust me, the more relaxed you are, the faster you get!

I got off the pill December 2008, which I had been on for 11 years straight and I got pregnant January 2009. Mine was less than a month and I'm 36 years old. Good luck!!

Re: After you got off birthcontrol, how long did it take?
I stopped the pill July 2007, my LMP was July 11th and I had a BFP by August 4th, so for me it was immediate.
I was on ortho try cyclen for several years to regulate periods/ovarian cysts.
Good luck!

I was off birth control about a month, because it was making me feel weird. Then we decided to ttc, it took once. With my first it took almost 7 months, and 2nd took two months.

Re: After you got off birthcontrol, how long did it take?
I got on the depo shot in june of 2007 after my daughter was born and I took it until dec of 2008 I found out I was pregnant in the middle of march 2009, When I first started my period after the depo shot I was just spotting and then the month after that it became a lil heavier, not much cramping though, then march I didn't have a period so I took a test and it was positive, so now were due dec 10th, 2009 hopefully with a baby girl. so I wish you all the best of luck
