    Ultrasounds

I am wanting to know how accurate u/s are? My reasoning for this is my boyfriend and I broke up for two and a half months. During that time I did my own thing. We got back together dec 21 or 22. I left town the 23rd through the 31st. I had started my period on the 26th of dec. I know when I got home from my trip we hooked up everyday multiple times a day for two weeks considering we were broken up for so long. The last time I saw the other guy was maybe on the 15th or 17th of december I can't remember for sure. I know we were safe almost everytime except for once or twice but I am pretty sure it was in the begining of December but I can't remember for sure. I have had 3 u/s one at 9 wks 5 days, one at 11 weeks, and one last Monday. I was 18 weeks and 5 days.So far the baby has been the size it is supposed to be. My dr. Told me that I conceived on January 9 or 10th.I am due on October 1. I worry if I could of gotten pregnant in the begining to middle of december. Do I need to worry. How often can you get pregnant before your period. I think about this every single day and don't know what to do. I fear that it isnt my bf kids and i t kills me inside. I don't know what to do. Are u/s accurate as to how old the baby is and the day of conception. Please help.

I personally don't think that they are always 100% accurate. My due date was originally suppose to be June 27 according to my ultra sound and I just found out a couple of weeks ago that my due date is actually June 8th....so...yes, I definately believe that they can be off. Nothing is fool proof if ya ask me! Good luck though I hope everything works out! :)

the best and most accurate method for determining conception is your cycle.  If you cycled and have not been with guy B since that, it is most likely that you conceived after your cycle.  Remember that your fertile days are limited to a few days each month.  I suggest looking up information on fertility and conception, then cross reference your own dates and activities to bring yourself some peace of mind.  If it is really confusing you, talk to your doctor about your time frames and see if they can offer any wisdom on it all.

From my experience with calculating fertility, it sounds like you DID get prego in January, not in december.

Also, the earlier you get an u/s the more accurate it is. Your 9wk u/s would be a LOT more accurate than your 18wk u/s.

I actually got the courage to tell my Dr. about it. He has told me that I have nothing to worry about according to my dates everything looks good. I also just had another ultrasound done a week ago because I was in a car wreck and my dates are still the same so that makes me feel better but I still worry about it. Ahh the guilt even though we were broken up.
