    New here, and nervous.....

Hello! I am due in December, and we found out at 10 weeks and 4 days, via ultrasound, that we are expecting twins. This is my second pregnancy, and our daughter will be around 22 months old when the twins are born. I am going to have three children under the age of two..........AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! I am experiencing so many emotions. One minute I'm amazed and excited, the next minute I'm crying, and terrified. I definately need this community for support, and information. I'm so glad to be here.

Hi! My name is Kat and I just got on this board also. I found out Wednesday this week at 13w1d that I am pregnant with twins. I have a almost 4 year old daughter so I am not exactly in the same boat as you, but I am definitely going thru a lot of different emotions. I went to the library yesterday and got 4 books on twins and have been reading like crazy! The main thing I have found is that we need to eat a lot and eat healthy, and stay hydrated. They say to eat a lot of small meals thru out the day to get the babies to gain healthy weight and help prevent premature labor. Anyways, I look forward to going thru this with the support of other multiple moms. Take care, Kat

congratulations!  It all sounds more overwhelming than it really is.  I was terrified when I found out I was having twins.  None of it was as hard as I thought it would be---at least not until they turned 3--lol.  If you want to ask veteran moms questions check out the multiples forum on the Parenting community.
