Me too... most of the time.

Other times I see it as the portal for my children to the world.  They made it here safe and sound.

Our bodies are still whole, our children's bodies are on the earth, thriving.

p.s.  make it into a tatoo!!

ha ha that is what my mom said.. to have a tattoo of a zipper put over it.  I said 'no way, cause I don't want that zipper opened again!'  :)

I hate mine because of the memories connected to it.  It has been a year, maybe it will pass one day.

Oh HUGS Christie!  I hate mine too, and I'm terrified of having another.  I'm not sure yet how I'm going to prepare myself for this.  I can only keep telling myself that it's just what I have to do to get my babies here safely.  I have found peace with the fact that my scars are necessary, but I'm still working towards finding some peace and calmness for the delivery of my boys.  For me, the sadness from Callie's birth experience still hasn't gone away, but it has faded so much.  The only thing left that reminds me of it at all is my scar.

My second scar is directly on top of the first and is barely visible at all ... did you have stitches or staples?

I never even notice mine! I'm having my 2nd C/S on Friday. I'm not the bikini type so I rarely even notice that I have a scar. Maybe you could try putting scarguard on it to see if that would make it less noticeable?

I don't hate my scar, but I do hate the fact that it is from multiple c-sections. Only the first was necessary. You can barely see mine so tattooing it wouldn't be worth it but I think I almost think I would prefer the red, raised, crooked, ugly mess that it was after my first section, rather than the way it is now where the doctors afterwards obviously took care to pretty it up. The ugly one would be a nice reminder to appreciate my son even more because he almost didn't make it. Instead, it's a reminder that I will have to keep myself out of hospitals if I want to avoid a c-section.

I would have loved to have been able to have vaginal deliveries.  I can't let myself think about that, though, can't dwell on it.  I am thankful that my boys were brought safely into this world, and a section was the only way that that was going to be possible all 3 times, so I've got to say that I'm thankful for sections and for the drs.' skill.

I don't know if it's the scar that I hate or my whole stretched out tummy.  But they were definitely worth it and I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat.

     (((((((hugs)))))))) for you, Christie.

I'm proud of my 3 scars! Soon to be 4! That is how I gave my children life. It does not matter how my children got here as long as they are healthy!

Mine doesn't bother me either. The only time I really think about it is during this pregnancy when there is pressure on it

I can feel mine most of the time.  Even tingly, stabbing pains sometimes.  I can feel the hardness of the scar.  I have seeing it while having sex.  Most of all it is a reminder of bad decisions that I made.  I hate that I was cut through.  I can't touch it without getting the heeby jeebies.... like nails on a chalk board.

Mine HURTS!  I have sharp stabbing pains in it off and on all day and night.  My skin incision is still numb, but my uterine incision......ouch!

oh I can barely see it but I still know that it is there.  I have never had surgery though so I really don't like the scar or the feeling of the scar tissue inside.
