How soon will it take to get period back...I am 7 wks PP and BF

Am I wrong. I forgot to ask my dr at the 6 wk appt last week.

I didn't get my period till she was 8 months old. and with in 2 weeks of getting my period then i was pregnant again. lol it all depends on how often you breastfeed. If you don't breastfeed you can have it right back. and the more you breastfeed the longer it takes to get it back.

I now have a 7 month old son whom I am breastfeeding and still haven't gotten my period. I certainly don't mind not having my period, it's just that we would like to get pregnant again BEFORE my husband leaves for military training in October, not to return until June. I'm not exactly sure how we are going to accomplish this without my having a period?!?!?

After my son was born by period came back with in weeks but after my daughter it took a year. I was exclusively breast feeding her and with my son I supplemented. Anyway... Good luck.

My first 3 kids I stopped bleeding 2 weeks after I had them and started my period 2 weeks later. This postpartum has been very different. I spotted for 6 weeks and now in my 7th week I still have some discoloration sometimes. I thought maybe I went from postpartum bleeding straight into my period, but the doctor thinks I just over did it after my c-section so its taking me a little longer to heal completely. Hopefully you'll be one of the lucky ones who doesn't have to deal with your period for awhile :)
