    Fell down the stairs

Last Friday I missed a few stairs in the night and ended up with my foot landing on finger paints (I had just bought for my son) and then smashing my head on the wall before I landed on my tailbone. I was in shock for quite sometime and my uterus and stomach was shaking. I think I was absorbing the blow and trying to protect the area. I talk to my midwife in the morning and she said although the risk of mc is high at this point she didn't think that would cause it as things are pretty cushioned and my body would have taken the hit. If I was going to she though I would bleed within 24hrs. To be sure everything is OK I am going to have an early u/s to make sure there is a viable heartbeat. I see her in 2 weeks and will probably book it then. Scary stuff. On top of that I have had horrible nausea. With my son it didn't start until 8 weeks. I was hoping to hold on. I was also wondering if any of you who have already given birth have experienced any vaginal spasiming (almost like doing keagle exercises) randomly? I have been having it happen a lot. It worries me. I hope my cervix isn't doing anything. C

Oh my goodness what a scary thing to have happen! Are you feeling better now? I'm sorry that you have already had such a scare and I wish you and your little peanut the best! I have not had any spasming but I have had horrible nausea and wicked headaches, I dont remember either being this bad when I was PG with my son

I am alright. My body hurts but I am managing. i know what you mean. It is funny how we forget all the bad stuff. Such as 40 weeks of pregnancy and symptoms, getting huge and then LABOUR! I have to get more positive or quickly put it out of my mind. thanks for the well wishes.

That is so awful!! I hope your wounds are feeling better and that the baby is OK. I wanted you to know that I have had vaginal spasms. And I just had an ultrasound and all is good:) Must be our bodies getting things ready for the long haul:) Good luck!

Thanks for the well wished everyone. I am feeling better but still can't wait for an u/s. My sickness comes and goes as do the spasims, it is good to know other people are experiencing it.

I haven't experienced anything like that, but I just wanted to let you know that I will be praying for you!
