Hypnobirthing

Hypnobirthing is a natural childbirth technique that incorporates deep relaxation, slow breathing patterns, and self-guided endorphin release to enable the woman to enjoy an unmedicated, safe, and gentle labor and delivery that is often quicker than normal and less painful. Find out more and connect with other women who are considering or who have used hypnobirthing.

    2nd baby using Hypnobirthing

The first one I had glanced through the HB book but didn't practice any of the techniques. I did end up having an unmedicated, "natural" vaginal delivery but it was far from pain free. This time around I am trying to do everything right. I am taking a class and must admit I am actually getting kind of excited. I really hope that I can do this! I would love to hear any other stories and for those of you looking for more positive stories let me suggest you take a look at the reviews for the book on Amazon... there is a lot of positive that can be taken from there! Good luck to everyone else who is trying this. I am due at the end of 2008 and I'll let you know how it goes!

    Re: 2nd baby using Hypnobirthing

Thanks for sharing your experience, I hope you'll update this thread with your birth story once you've had your baby. I am in the 11th week of my second pregnancy. I believe I had a similar experience as you for my first pregnancy and labor. I primarily followed the Bradley method and was very pleased with the outcome. I had an unmedicated "natural" vaginal delivery as well. I had back labor and had a good deal of pain. I was planning on following the same method for this pregnancy, since overall, I had the outcome I desired with no complications. I have just been looking into hypnobirthing and don't yet know much about it. I will be getting a copy of the book, and investigating further, but would love to hear your experience.
