You know, my mom reminded me that back in the day, when people lived on farms and had a lot of land, they often had 5, 6, 7 children. The last ones would be born late in the woman's life. It's not that unusual. And I've got to say, every doctors appointment I go to, the other pregnant women I see are in their 30's. I took a breastfeeding class and about 90% were in their 30's. And last week I took a C-Section class, every single lady in her 30's. People need to just get over it. Life has different plans for us all. Sure, ideally I wish I was younger, but I feel soooo blessed.
I do get a lot of crap from people though, who look at me and say "How OLD are you?" The president of my company even said in front of all my co-workers while looking at me "Be careful what you wish for. I knew a lady in her 30's who had a child with Down Syndrome."
