Hi! I'm Cynthia and I'm 39. I'll be having my baby in September! I was supposed to take that Amniocentesis test but I didn't. I'm just hoping that my baby is alright. I don't actually know if it is because I'm older that my body is constantly feeling weak and tired. My baby kicks everyday. And I pray that my baby will come out just fine! My friend just got her baby 2 months ago and she just made 40. Her baby is alright also because she prayed on that! I think it's a blessing for me to become pregnant since I always wanted one more child but my doctor told me my body was going through some kind of stress for over 10 years. I guess God knew when and why I got pregnant this late in life. But I'm thankful!

Mommaof6 I'm with you on the wiser part. I am so much more in tune with the pregnancy this time round. I'm far more aware of how the baby is lying for example. I was a bit oblivious the last 2 times. I have identified elbows from feet too which I hadn't before. I'm 36 weeks right now and I can't wait for this all to be over so right now I'm really hoping for that "looking back and wondering what we did without this beautiful babY" LOL

My due date is Nov.21,09. I'm 15 weeks now and the morning and night sickness is so different. I some times fell pg and then I don't look like I'm pg yet. I saw the baby move on the 13 of May and I turned 39 on the 18 of May too. I go to the Dr. on the 10 of June for my mothly check up. Then on the 22 of June I have ultrasound.

I am over 35 and expecting my first child. I am overwhelmed with all the tests that the doctor is recommending.

LOL...I totally understand. I'm over 35 as well...and also hypothyroid, hypoglycemic, and epileptic. :P I get to go to the hospital twice a week for non-stress tests, as well as all the blood tests to make sure my meds are where they need to be and the other assorted pregnancy tests.... :)

I am 34 and expecting my first child also. I am due in September. I didn't have any of the tests to see if anything was wrong. We had the ultra sound a month ago and everything is perfect.

Hi everyone. My name is Nicole. I am 39 and expecting my first child. I am only at 8 weeks. EDD is Jan. 25, 2010. I turn 40 this November. Very excited! Looking forward to getting past the 3 month mark. I plan on doing the first trimester screening and then only doing an amnio if the results are bad.

I am 37 and am 6 weeks 3 days pregnant. I have a 4 yr old daughter. I am so excited but scared to death at the same time. I just hope everything is ok. You hear all the horror stories of women over 35 having babies. That we shouldn't get pregnant because of the "risks".

Re: Who is out there over 35?

I have enjoyed reading the "replies" on this topic; feeling better more & more already since I just turned 37 and I'm having my 3rd child due Sept. 24th. I was shocked and originally freaked out to learn I was pregnant, thinking I won't be done "raising kids until about 55 yrs old"; thought I was done this year paying for child care since my youngest was going to Kindergarden this coming school year,so I was "counting down the days & cheering" over here and initially did some crying since this pregnancy was soooo "unplanned" and unexpected. I thought they said "fertility decreases & sperm-count decreases after turning 35"--CLEARLY NOT TRUE. But God does things for reasons not always revealed immediately and she is truly a Blessing. I did get the amnio by choice and it was really a "no fuss" procedure and there was no major discomfort just the need to definitely "take it easy" for a day or so and follow the drs instructions after getting the amnio. The results came back all "negative" which I'm still thanking God for those results even now and I can't wait to meet my baby girl in Sept.

Hello Ladies! I am new here. I am 38 and am expecting my third baby. I am quite nervous. I wasn't expecting a third baby...surprise. I was upset at first and even cried. But I am feeling better about the whole thing. I am happy to be a part of this board.
