Hello, 43 and pregnant with #6

Hello, I'm Kate. I'm 43 and pregnant with my 6th baby. My children are 16, 15, 11, 3, 1 and ... 5 weeks preggo. My EDD is 10/16. I'm pretty excited. My last three babies are such wonderful surprises. Levi (3) was born when I was 39, then Ellie (1) when I was 42, and now this baby... I see life so differently than my first three. Much more laid back than before. :D

Hi Kate, I'm Joyce and pregnant with #3 at age 40. Did you go through any genetic testing? Im doing the ultrasound and blood draw this Friday as a first step. Between my husband and I we have no birth defects on either side, and I'm pretty healthy, but still concerned. Are you concerned? My biological children are 15 and 8 (girls) and my husband has 3, age 9 and a set of twin girls age 7. So this will be 6 children for us also! I anticipate it will be quite different than before. I will have 5 helpers! They are all so excited.....Us too.

I will not be doing most of the testing. I'm not really worried either. Congratulations on your pregnancy. Babies on my "older years" are so different from my younger years. I am much more relaxed. I can take time to enjoy each moment.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I too had a miscarriage 11 March I was due 1 October. It has been so hard.I have 2 boys 5 and 2. This was a surprise pregnancy. I was so excited about it. I'm 39 and my husband doesn't what any more children. He says 2 is enough. I feel I'm not only grieving this loss but also the fact I'll never have any more children ever. I just want to wallow.

I am 46 and trying to again. I have a 25,21,16, and 2. I had my 4th at 43 and he is healthy and happy little boy. This is my second marriage and he wants another child so why not. I did the ultrasound test but I did not due the amnio, to many risk. All my markers came out great. i hope this time around it will be the same. I had a miscarriage about three months ago, but we are hear trying again. I am going to be a grandmother in two months and I am trying to get pregnant. THis should be fun.
