does any one have a baby with......

ok i could not find any where else to post this question on here. i am pregnant with my third child. about 16 weeks now. my first 2 pregnancies were high risk due to my blood pressure. my second baby was delivered emergency c-section at 36 weeks thanks to my bp. any way, my real concern is that my second baby was born with a bi-lateral cleft lip and palate. does any one of you have a baby with a cleft? and if so did you or are you planning on having more children? i am concerned with the chances of another baby with the same problem. the doctors say only a 4% chance of a second baby with a cleft but, i have met people with 4 children all with clefts. i am very nervous about this and afraid my bp will rise even more with me worrying. does any one have any advice? other than just relax because we have 5 kids all together now and any one with that many knows relaxing can be hard to do! lol and i have not had an ultra sound yet, so maybe i will feel better after they get a good look at the baby. thanks for listening and reading.

hi there..I am a mom to 4 beautiful children..my last was my first girl! she was born with a cleft palate..a first in my family..she also has pierre robin sequence...and after genetic testing and looking at my whole family..it came about that 3 out of my 4 kids have sticklers syndrome...my 1st ds..and my 3rd ds and my dd. Long story short unless there is a genetic likn(which is me in our case!) I think the chances of you having another cleft baby is slim..so relax mama and enjoy...I am expecting a baby in December so I know this is eaiser said then done! gl and keep us posted on your u/s results!!
