    Updates for this week!

Okay, I haven't been on here too much lately and wanted to put an up date on here, and hear how your week has been going! My dr has switched me to every other week for drs appointments, so that was really good. I'm finally slowing down on my weight gain. And they want me off my meds when my terb runs out this time. I'm only taking it every 14 hours now, so I probably have 2-4 weeks of meds left if I keep spreading them out. So yeah! I hate terb, for how it makes me feel(but I am thankful for the contractions stopping). I'm measuring about 5 days big(the same as the baby is). So everything is going very well for us and we'll be 31 weeks tomorrow. So I'm feeling pretty safe here and I'm hoping to be off bedrest at 34 or 35 weeks. So not too much longer! I'm getting reaally excited for her to be coming safely soon. So how are you?

angela - sounds like you are doing great...hooray! Cutting back on the terb is awsome. It did wierd stuff to me too. I am happy to say things are going really well for me too and I am also getting really excited! I am 32w 2d! I can't believe it. They stopped checking my cervix and doing the ffn two weeks ago. At my last u/s 29w6d, the baby weighed 3.1. They were not concerned but were not comfortable letting me sail off into the sunset so I am going back next week for another fetal weight. I will be 33 weeks at that point. I can't wait until I don't have to go to the u/s place anymore. I know everyone loves getting them but I I would be happy to never see another one this preg. Ok, back to happy stuff...my OB agreed that I do not need to have any advanced maternal age testing (I turned 35 like 2 weeks ago) so that it good. My shower is June 7th and I am really psyched. DH is painting the baby's room and things are falling into place. I am a little nervious about labor and being a new mom but in an excited kinda way. Ok, enough babble from me. Again, glad to hear all is going great and hope the others report the same!

    Re: Updates for this week!

I had a good not so good day. I went to the doctor. He saw that I was barely dilated maybe a cm. I expected this some point in time, but not this early. THe stich is still in there though and hopefully it want give out on me. He sent me over to L&D for about 6 hours to get monitored for contractions. The saw no activity. I have never really felt any contracttions this pregnancy, but he wanted to take precaution and just make sure I was not silently contracting. Otherwise the baby is fine and would not stay still for the nurse. THe neonatologist came by and talk with me for a while to answer any questions that I might have had which was really nice. So obviously I am still on bedrest at home and there is nothing else I think I can do better with that. I guess the good news is I still have my baby in my stomach. The last time I was on the unit I didn't bring my baby home. So I can not complain right now. I was fine unitl I got home then it all hit me...so I had a breakdown. I just not ready for what I am facing...but I have to stay positive. I am 27 weeks and will turn 28 on Wed. I am still fighting and proving the doctors wrong. Keep me in your thoughts and prayers...my next milestone is next week. Carmen

Oh Carmen, I am so sorry to hear about your da but you are right, the stich is still doing its job and your little one is still in your belly. It is only normal to have a breakdown. I think I still have them at least once or twice a week. You need to release somehow. I may have told you this story before but one of by best friends had her first son at 26 weeks due to IC. He spent about 3 months in the hospital but is now a thriving 3 yr old. She went on to have another child and was induced ay 30 weeks, no cerclage just progesterone shots. You are already on your way to 28 weeks and will go farther and farther. I have just said a prayer for you and will continue to do so. I know it is hard but keep your spiritis up and take a moment to celebrate how far you've come already!

Thanks I think I am fine for now. I studied the bible and got my mind on track. I will just take everything week by week. But I am grateful for being where I am. Carmen
