VBAC

Until recently, women who delivered via c-section had to deliver all subsequent children the same way. But now, an increasing number of women are having VBAC, or a vaginal birth after cesarean. Check out this message board to meet other women who have had a VBAC and those who are considering it.

Cool [H] My Dr's seem to be with me for my VBAC!!!

Well, my 1st OB apt was June 3 (my bday)...when it came time for me to ask questions and sit and talk w/ both of my Ob's...I brought up VBAC...

I had to have a c-section w/ my twin girls...my bp went to holy crap over omfg...they were afraid I was going to start having seizures...bc I was sooo big they cut me a bit higher than normal...that worried me was that I'm cut higher...might cause probs gettin my VBAC...

I explained to my Ob's that I have read a LOT of info about VBAC's and that all that I have read has led me to think (know) that it is normally safer to have a VBAC than another c-section (unless medically necessary of course)...they AGREED!!!!  I told them I did NOT want to be induced or pushed into a c-section, because it will not happen.  They said that sounds good to them.  They said that this is MY pregnancy, and they want ME to be satisfied and the baby/babies to be healthy!  I am SOO flippin happy that they are behind me!  They said that when I go into labor, both of them will be there and also, my old ob (who wasn't able to take me as a reg patient this time) will have to be there just in case I do have to have another section.  Both Ob's said that there should be no problem w/ me delivering...of course things can always happen and go wrong, but they both know (and it is written in my files) that I want the most natural route that is safe for the baby and I.

I just wanted to share my great news ladies!  Some dr's are for it!!  One of my Ob's is Female one is Male and the female has actually had 2 VBACS.  I feel so lucky!!

Now, just gotta wait till Dec/Jan and see what happens!!

I'm so happy for you that you're feeling supported in your choice to VBAC- yay! If you reach your due date, what will happen? Will they continue to let you go to 42+ weeks as long as you & baby are doing well? Why would your old OB have to be there to perform another cesarean if needed, don't your new OBs do cesareans? That's great that the one had some VBACs herself :)
