just another way to get to know eachother:)

What does everyone do for work? Even the moms that arent working now, what did you do prior to becoming a mommie? I figure this gives us something to talk about other then being preggo, so we still feel normal lol! Also helps to get to know eachother! Ill start... I am someone you ALL hate lol! I am a phone sales lady...BUT I get incoming calls, so its not THAT bad! Ive only been with the company for 6 months, its not my favorite thing to do, but it pays the bills. I was working in retail photography before, I was an asst manager at a photo studio locally for the past 4 yrs , but it closed due to the ecomony:( I still do private photogrpaphy on the side though, but its not my main income! I actually went to school for early childcare and I taught preschool for 7 yrs, until my son passed away and it was too hard so I had to leave the profession...it is my heart though, Ill go back someday...when Im ready! Thats me...Jack of all trades lol! Whos next?

I do accounts (dual control with owner's wife) and executive PA for owner and general manager (their son), at an air conditioning company here in Ft. Worth, Texas. I've been here for over 2 years now, and I like it apart from some changes in the last 12 mths. I had been working towards being able to work at least half the day from home, but the new office manager seems to want to rip that possibility out from under me. However, I know the owner is working towards the possibility of having staff permanently work from home, so I'm still hopeful.

I am a stay at home mom.  Before I got pregnant with my son who is now 3.5 years, I was at home for a back injury...was off work on medical leave...before that, I was a cashier at our local grocery store.

I am an commercial insurance agent/CSR. I write policies for Businesses ex. General Liability, Workers Comp. I am in charge of the insurance for AAMCO Transmissions here in CA. We write about 95% of all the shops in California. We also do Midas Auto Service, SpeeDee Oil Change & Tune Up, MAACO Auto Body...mostly all the franchise auto repair stuff. I also write insurance on a national level, but we don't have too many accounts, but we are licensed in all 50 states. Keeps me busy and I have been here for 9 years in Nov so they pretty much let me know what I want. I have been employed here the longest than everyone else in the building.

As you guys have probably figured out from my prior post im an EMT and I work for Rural/Metro Medical Services (Ambulance Company) For the most part its an easy going job some days we run our butts off and other days I sleep most of my shift. My Dr. is already telling me that once I get a belly that he's prob gonna take me out so I dont get another back injury. Which is kinda sucky but as long as it keeps the baby and me  healthly im sure ill be able to find things to do around the house.

I am a budget analyst for the US Dept. of Agriculture. It's nice working for the federal government. I have great benefits and they are very flexible when it comes to leave or staying at home.

I haven't worked since I was 6 months pregnant with my oldest son. I was a waitress at a cafe at that time, but have been a SAHM since then.

I was a waitress/bartender for years! But when I was about 23, I decided to get a "real job" and became a jeweler at a jewlery store. I had lots of fun, but I made way more money working as a bartender. Worked as a jeweler until my oldest daughter was born in 2003 and I have been a SAHM ever since. Although, right now, my husband and I are apart of a motivational strength team known as the Conquerors!!

I am currently a SAHM/student. I quit my job as a Supervisor at CVS Pharmacy to stay home because I could not afford child care with the little I was paid at my job. I do online schooling while staying home with my son everyday. I absolutely love being home with my son and hope that I can do this with all my children at least until they get into school.

I teach 5th grade Math and Science! I love my job, and will continue teaching after the baby comes. It helps that my older daughter goes to the school where I teach, and my younger daughter will attend next year! It's not the same as being a SAHM, but we get to spend a lot of time together.

Both DH and I are dental hygienists.  I worked part time up until about 3 months ago.  Now I am just a SAHM.  I love it!  Working isn't terrible, but it was so hard to go back to work after my DS was born.  I am so excited to be able to stay home with this one!

Right now I am an Eligibility Specialist for MI Dept. of Human Services. Basically, I help people get enrolled in our assistance programs (food, medical, day care, emergency services, etc.). It’s a good job with great benefits but it is VERY stressful. I would love to have my OB take me off work early! Before this I did a little of everything. I was casino security, casino surveillance, a beauty consultant, retail, jewelry sales, a little bit of everything! I was going to school for nursing and am just a few credits shy of my Bachelors in Biology, I hope to finish that up in the next year or so.
