    Most mindless comments while pregnant

I heard pre-pregnancy that women with child can hear some really thoughtless comments. I now know just how true that is, and wondered who had some experiences to share. The most mindless comment I've received so far has to do with my age. DH and I had been trying to get pregnant for nearly 8 years. We gave up. But then, at age 42....surprise.....I got pregnant and we are overjoyed..... BUT for some reason, people feel compelled to point out how "OLD" I will be by the time my son reaches high school....Like I can't do the math myself.....I'm just thankful it happened at all, ya know.

I am sorry to hear that people are saying those things to you. I myself hear the opposite. I am 21 years old & will still be when i have my bean.. [[ i'm due in may ]] so because of my age everyone is giving me comments about how young i am. Then the fact that we had already planned to be getting married in the spring everyone thinks it's because i am pregnant which i not the case at all. we found out about 2 months after decieding when to get married. So i know how hurtful those comments can be but forget them & congrats on your baby!
