  help.... the midwest is out of the loop Reply Contact I have searched high and low for any information about hypnobirthing classes in the Des Moines, Iowa area.  My OB was no help.  I wanna check things out before I invest in the home study course.  This is my first baby and I really really want an unmedicated birth and I definatley don't want to be confined to a bed.  I know it will hurt, duh, but I everyone I know either looks at me like I am crazy when I mention hypnobirthing or says an epidural is the ONLY way to go.  Hypnobirthing is my first choice in birthing plans.  I've read a little about the bradley method, but the only classes I have been able to find in Des Moines is the basic birthing class at the hospital.  Anyone have any info?

Your best bet is probably a home study course, which I have been doing now for 15 weeks. I'm 32 weeks pregnant (I started WAY early) and it has helped a ton!
