    Sore hips?

This is a very typical pregnancy symptom for me, and its starting up again!

Only when I'm sleeping in bed, as always. I wake up and my hips are aching! I'm using a pillow between my knees, started that about 19wks.

I had it something awful with my first!

But I think it started later than this with the girls. I thought it was stretching. This is my 4th, can they possibly stretch any more? lol

    Anyone else with hurting hips?

Oh and  my numb/tingly sciatic related leg thing is with me now. This didn't start until well into the 3rd trimester with my last baby. Why does everything happen so much sooner!

Because our bodies are done!!  I know mine is!!  I don't think it could take another baby, and then you hear about the Duggars and how she's pregnant with her 18th!

YES! Me too! I was actually going to post about it... and saw your post. I wake up with terribly sore hips from sleeping on my sides. I have a body pillow that I use, but it still hurts a lot! I noticed that when I was away last week (and sleeping on a different/softer bed), it wasn't as bad. So I just put a down topper on my side of the bed to make it softer. We will see if that helps! If you find anything that helps, let me know! I'll let you know if the bed topper does the trick!

    Re: Sore hips?

Unfortunately I don't think there's anything to be done. My bed is soft as it is and I had an overlay with my son and no change!

I hope I don't get to that excruciating place I did with him. I think it was worse back then because I was only 19 and my hips had to widen big time!

What is more annoying is my numb left leg. Only on the outside of my thigh! Yuck.

And Jill, I don't know anyone could have so many kids as the Duggars. That woman is a freak. I don't know how her uterus hasn't just fallen out!

    Re: Sore hips?

I had horribly painful hips with my last baby. Nothing helped. I remember being in tears in the hospital waiting for my c-section because it hurt so bad. They came in to insert the catheter (such lovely stuff) and were wondering why I couldn't open my legs wider. I wanted to yell at them it was because they made me wait there so long and I haven't been able to lay like that longer than an hour without being in complete agony in ages. It hasn't gotten bad at all yet with this pregnancy yet so I'm hoping it won't get to that level again. Although seeing my husband look completely desperate and helpless may make it worth it to go through it again. Devil That man pisses me off lately.

Me too. I get the back pain and a pain the the crack of my butt that feels like it is seperating. Sometimes I get a shooting pain down my leg. Oh the joys of pregnancy! LOL. I think everything happens earlier with each pregnancy.

    Re: Sore hips?

    Argh.
Why does my back only hurt when I am lying in bed?! I wake up in the morning feeling like someone beat me up, but I'm fine as soon as I get up! Never had this one before. I won't be able to sleep in much longer because it hurts to stay in bed!

Seems my numb leg is here to stay. Yay. At least another 3 months of it.

Oh my goodness. My hips hurt something fierce, but only when I am on my feet for hours at a time. It honestly feels like my hip is going to jump out of the socket...It's awful. Make sure you are resting when you need to.

I was waking up in PAIN. My hips were kill me. I bought a memory foam mattress topper and it has helped a LOT. My hips will ache a little in the mornings, but it is SO much better.

    Re: Sore hips?

I have that also and when i was prego with my last daughter it was awful i coulnt sleep my hips felt like they were burning they hurt so bad so we had to buy a softer matress because I was only able to sleep on the couch. not 15 moonths later  I got that soft matress on the bed and it helps alot but still experience some discomfort time to time.

try  finding a softer surface to sleep on if you can. it helps

    Re: Sore hips?

The down bed topper has definitely helped me the last 2 nights. My hips still hurt a little, but not nearly as much as they did. Worth the effort of lugging it from the attic!

There is a family from the town where I grew up that had 23 biological children.... could you IMAGINE giving birth 23 times???? If I remember correctly, she was pregnant 25 times. Yikes.

I never had this with my first and it has been constant the last week or so.  I can't stand it, sometimes it's hard to even get to sleep because they start hurting as soon as I lie down.

    Re: Sore hips?

I'm in the same boat but my doc said it's due to my Sciatica. I went to a chiropractor last week and this week it hasn't been so bad. I'm not sure if the chiro work his magic (given the fact that I was in PAIN the following day) or if baby just moved off of it. Hopefully it'll stay this way bc I'm actually enjoying being prego. I too have a pregnancy pillow although it doesn't do much for me besides that I can angle myself so that I "sort of" sleep on my tummy. Ahhhhh the joys of pregnancy. Not much longer ladies and we'll be saying, "I'd do it all over!"
