Please help me,#5 and i'm still worried...

I've been getting braxton hicks contractions and was fine but for the last 3 days i'm getting them more often and today I started getting this stinging sensation in my pelvic area, if I knew where my cervix was i'de swear that's where it's coming from. The baby is moving ALOT so im not that worried but I just found a friend that had her baby @ 7 1/2 months and even though she's absolutely perfect now im worried. I have an appt. on Tue. but im working everyday from now til' Mon. I don't want to get poked and proded for no reason at the hospital. What do you ladies think. Anyone else going through the same thing? Today and yesterday I counted more than 10 of them and today I had that stinging pain twice.

    How do you feel now?

I don't know about the stinging thing, but I have had quite a few BH the last week or so as well.

I haven't counted mine, but I think I will get to that point soon. I probably need to drink more, I always got them when I didn't drink enough with my last baby.

I think if you are concerned you should probably go to the doctor. Tuesday, is that today or next week?

I've been getting what seems to be about 4 or 5 BH during the day.  But the other day I noticed that when it happened, only one side of my stomach got hard, so i'm thinking that some of those are just the baby stretching and pushing my stomach out.  Which gives off the same feeling.  Also, I get that stinking sensation too, kinda like a pinch, but it's just the baby kicking down near my cervix, and it can hurt pretty bad.  Maybe that's what you're feeling?  I would call the doctor just to ask, I guess just whenever you get a chance at work.  That way they won't send you to the hospital or anything if they don't think it's a big concern.  Hope everything turns out okay

My appt is Sep. 2 and my whole stomach balls up I still get them daily since 3 days ago, they're not painful at all except for the stinging which I felt both times at the same time my stomach balled up.

Last pregnancy, I would get a pinch feeling right in my cervix... kind of like I was getting poked with a needle. I don't remember whether or not it was with a BH contraction though, and I have no idea what it was from... I guess I just kind of assumed it was part and parcel of this whole pregnancy thing... just another "weird" thing so I never did ask about it. I have been getting more BH lately also, but not in my whole stomache, just at the bottom... I think it's because I haven't been drinking enough water either. You know your body best though - if you are worried and if the BH are coming pretty regularly, then I would get it checked out just for peace of mind.

I get the stinging sensation too, as well as a tearing or ripping sensation.  I have gotten it every single time, although it has happened earlier with each pregnancy.  I think it's due to pressure from the baby, and in my case, I carry low, my muscles are weak, so it almost feels like the baby is coming out.  I haven't had that many contractions, although I have had a few where they have been very uncomfortable.  I'd ask about it though.

I think I know the stinging feeling you speak of. I experienced this with dd and now with this one as well. I thought it was my cervix opening for sure but was told it was just the baby kicking in that area or perhaps just sitting in an odd position and putting a lot of pressure on it. As for the bh contractions, I had those the entire last half of my first pregnancy and had her just 2 days before my due date, so I think it is all pretty normal.

Well the stinging sensation I am not sure that I have had. I have had some sharp pains a few times in that area, but it doesn't last and I suppose I just chalk it up to stretching and growing. Braxton Hicks on the other hand I have plenty of. Some days I have 2-6 in an hour all day and some days I have only about 5-10, but I never really worry about them. I have had them with all my kids from very early on and know that they feel different than real contractions. I have not had the stinging pain with them though so I am not sure what to make of that. It is hard not to worry about all of the things our bodies are doing, but if you feel that there might be a problem, don't hesitate to get things checked out. Let us know how you are feeling.
